My name is Wei Fen. Last year, I did not like my English class. Every class was like a bad dream.The teacher spoke so quickly that I did not understand her most of the time. 1 was afraid to askquestions because of my pronunciation. I just hid behind my textbook and never said anything.
Then one day I watched an English movie called Toy Story . I fell in love with this exciting andfunny movie! So 1 began to watch other English movies,too.Although I could not understandeverything the characters said, their body language and the expressions on their faces helped me toget the meaning.I also realized 1 could get the meaning by listening for just the key words.Mypronunciation improved as well by listening to the conversations in English movies.I discovered thatlistening to something interesting is the secret to language learning. I also learned useful sentenceslike“It's a piece of cake”or“It serves you right.”I did not understand these sentences at firstBut becausc I wanted to understand the story, I looked up the words in a dictionary.
Now I really enjoy my English class. I want to learn new words and more grammar so that I can hava better understanding of English movies.

I will put more time and energy into English study.Here is my
plan for learning English.
Firstly,I'll read more English newspapers and magazines in
order to develop a good sense of language.Secondly,listening
is also very important in learning English,so I will watch more
English movies.By watching these movies,I can not only
improve my listening skills,but also understand western
culture.Thirdly,I'll keep writing English diaries to improve my
writing skills.Lastly,I'll join an English club where I can practise
speaking English as well as making good friends.
All in all,there is no fast way to learn English well.So I'll try my
best to follow my plan.
