教学过程
Step 1　Lead-in
Jim is tall. Sam is taller than Jim. Peter is taller than Sam. So Peter is the tallest of the three.
(Write “Peter is the tallest of the three” on the blackboard and let the students repeat.)
Then go on saying：Sam runs fast. Peter runs faster than Sam. Jim runs faster than Peter. So Jim runs fastest of the three. Tallest and fastest are Superlative Forms of Adjectives and Adverbs. Today we will learn it.
Step 2　Presentation
1．教学1a。首先认真读一下1a的单词，认真思考一下自己选择电影院的标准是什么，会选择去哪一家电影院，以重要性和不重要性为标准，把1a中的单词短语分类好，完成好与小组成员讨论，互相看看选择电影院的标准以及原因。
2．教学1b。在播放听力前，认真朗读表格中的句子，猜测待会要听的内容。播放录音，让学生们认真听录音，然后把听到的答案填到表格中，完成后，核对答案。再播放一次录音，让学生们跟着录音读一遍，感悟语言。
3．教学1c。仿照1b中的录音内容，编造一个对话，小组讨论合作，完成后抽几组进行表演，对表演好的学生表扬，鼓励学生多开口讲英语。
4. 教学2a。在播放听力前先阅读2a中的问题和选项，了解听力内容，播放听力，让学生们圈出男孩关于两个问题的答案，完成后核对答案。
5．教学2b。朗读2b中的句子，然后再播放一遍录音，将商店或电台的名字写在相对应的句子前面，完成后核对答案。
6．教学2c。一人扮演记者，另外一人扮演2a、2b中的男孩，根据听力答案信息，仿照2c形式来编练对话，并邀请几组学生表演对话。
Step 3　 Language Points
1. close
adj. (在空间、时间上)接近
be close to ... 意为“离……近”。
v. 关; 关闭; 闭上; 不开(停止营业)
The door closed.
2.so far 迄今为止, 到目前为止
常与现在完成时连用, 既可放在句首、句中, 也可放在句尾。
3. 形容词和副词的最高级最高级，表示“最......”的意思(三者或三者以上作比较)，形容词最高级前面一般要加定冠词 the，后面可带 in(of)短语来什么比较的范围。 形容词和副词的最高级规则变化:
1）一般在词尾加-est high — highest ，short — shortest
2）以字母 e 词尾的词，加-st late — latest ，fine —finest
3）重读闭音节词词尾只有一个辅音字母时，先双写辅音字母，再加-est
hot — hottest，big—biggest，thin — thinnest，fat — fattest
4）以“辅音字母+y”结尾的双音节词，先把“y”改为“i”，再加 –est funny — funniest，easy — easiest，early — earliest
5）多音节词 和部分双 音节词在词前加 most beautiful — most beautiful，athletic — most athletic outgoing —most outgoing
4. 形容词和副词的比较级和最高级不规则变化:
good/well — best
bad/badly — worst
many/much — most
Little/few — least
far — farthest(最远) furthest(最深远)
5. 最高级的用法:
1)用于三者或三者以上的比较 Which do you like best，Chinese，math or English
2)one of+最高级+n.复数 表示“最...之一”Lu Xun is one of the greatest writers last century.
3)“the +序数词+最高级+n.单数+范围”表示“在...范围内...是第几...”，后面可用of/ among 短语来说明同类的数量或in短语来说明比较范围。Hainan is the second largest island in China.
6. choose to do sth. 选择做某事
choose …as …选……作为
choice n. 选择make a choice 做一个选择
7. some 形容词，意为“一些”修饰可数名词/不可数名词some一般用于肯定句，any一般用于疑问句或否定句，但在表达建议或请求的疑问句或希望得到对方的肯定回答时，用some不用any。Would you like some tea？
