1) 运用词汇句式谈论中国制造的东西。
2) 理解并运用被动语态描述产品及产地。

三、教学方法
本节听说课采用讲授法，任务驱动教学，讨论法，情景演示法相结合的教学方法。
四、教学过程
Step 1 Presentation
1. Greet the class briefly.
2. Discuss with the students like this:
Teacher: What’s the gold medal made of
Students: It’s made of gold.
Teacher: Is this table made of wood
Students: No. it isn’t. It’s made of glass.
Teacher: Is butter made of meat
Students: No, it isn’t. It’s made from cream.
...
Step 2 Listening (2a-2b)
1. Read the instruction.
2. Play the recording for the first time. Ask the students to check (√) the main topic of Nick and Marcus’ conversation.
3. Play the recording for a second time. Ask the students to answer the questions.
4. Check the answers with the whole class.
Step 3 Pair work (2c)
1. In groups, make conversations using the information in 2a and 2b.
2. Choose one of the groups to report to the class.
Step 4 Role play.
1. Ask the students to read the conversation between Pam and Liu Jun, then role play it.
2. What is famous in your city What is it made of Make a conversation using 2d as a model.
Step 5 Language points
1. grass and leaves 草和叶
leaf 意为“叶;叶子”，是可数名词，其复数形式leaves
In autumn the leaves fall down from the trees.
秋天，叶子从树上落下来。
2. Where is tea produced in China 中国哪里产茶？
produce意为“生产；制造；出产”。
What does the factory produce
这家工厂生产什么产品？
3. Anxi and Hangzhou are widely known for their tea.
安溪和杭州都因为茶而广为人知。
be known for意为“以……闻名；为人知晓”，
同义短语是be famous for。
He is known /famous for his learning.
他以学问渊博著名。
4. When the leaves are ready, they are picked by hand and then are sent for processing.
(1) are picked by hand意为“被手工采摘”，是被动语态结构:“be+及物动词的过去分词+ by+其他”，介词by意为“被……”。
We are all moved by his words.
我们都被他的一番话感动了。
(2) process 动词，意为“加工;处理”。
The fish are processed by freezing.
这种鱼经过了冷冻处理。
process还可作名词，意为“过程”。
The training of astronauts is a long process.
训练宇航员是个长期的过程。
5. The tea is packed and sent to many different countries and places around China.
pack作及物动词，意为“包装;装箱”。
We usually pack shirts in paper bags.
我们通常用纸袋包装衬衣。
pack作名词,构成短语 a pack of, 意为“一包……”
I bought a pack of gum. 我买了一包口香糖。
Step 6 Homework
1. Recite the conversation in 2d.
2. Search for information about tea.
