◆Step 1　Leading in Work on 2a Make the students work in groups. List the names of Chinese musical instruments and the famous pieces of music played on them. ◆Step 2　Reading 2b,2c & 2d 1.Guide the students to scan the three questions in 2b and predict the answers by looking at the picture. 2.Ask the students to read the passage quickly to check the prediction.( 3.Get the students to read the passage carefully and then finish the task in 2c by themselves. 4.Check the answers.(Help the students learn some expressions in the passage. 5.Finish the task in 2d from memory. 6.Read the article.Check the answers with each other.( ◆Step 3　Pair work 2e 1.Ask two students to read out the sample conversation. 2.Suppose student A is a foreign visitor who is interested in Abing and his music and that student B is a Chinese student who knows about Abing.Use the information in the passage to make their own conversation. 3.Ask three pairs to act out their conversations in class. ◆Step 4　Language points 1....I sensed a strong sadness and pain. (1)sense v.感觉到;意识到 We all seemed to sense his sadness at that time. 在那个时候我们好像都感觉到了他的悲伤。 sense n.意识;感觉 People have five senses—sight,hearing,smell,taste,and touch. 人有五种感觉:视觉,听觉,嗅觉,味觉和触觉。 (2)sadness n.悲哀;悲伤 -ness是个名词后缀,一些形容词后加ness可变成名词,如: happy—happiness　kind—kindness 2.look up(在字典、参考书中,通过电脑)查阅,抬头看 It is unnecessary to look up every word you don't know in the dictionary while you are reading. 当你阅读时,没有必要每一个不认识的词都查字典。 3.It is a pity that only six pieces of music in total were recorded for the future world to hear,but his popularity continues to this day.
