教材分析 This listening and speaking lesson is closely related to the “Reading and Thinking” in the later lessons. It introduces the unit theme of "Talking about moral dilemmas", introduces what moral dilemmas are, and discusses the different choices and results people in moral dilemmas face, as well as the moral values and principles behind the choices. The purpose of this text is to enable students to understand and feel the universality and complexity of moral dilemmas in life, to reflect on practical problems related to moral dilemmas in combination with their own experience and life experience, to improve their dialectical thinking ability, so that they can observe and treat social phenomena in a more comprehensive and objective way, and to understand the world with a rational attitude.
学情分析 The target students are Senior One students, who are outgoing, cheerful and active in thinking. Students have basically been able to obtain detailed information in listening, and a small number of students can express their views confidently in English. However, since most of the listening exercises are multiple-choice, students seldom take notes during listening, so some students may have difficulty in answering the questions.

读前准备及导入新课 Step I Lead in Teacher shows the picture and video to lead the topic. What do you think of the success in China’s space exploration Before you listen, discuss the questions in groups. Have a free talk after acknowledging the information and the meaning of the new words, and answer the questions. Use pictures and videos to catch students’ attention. Expand their horizons and spark their interest.
听中环节 Activity1: Before you listen, discuss the questions in groups. Do you know anything about the selection procedure for astronauts Make a list of the possible requirements. Activity2: Teacher shows the listening practice. Then teacher plays the listening material and asks students to answer. Listen to the interview and tick the correct statements. Listen again and fill in the blanks with the correct numbers. Listen to the interview again and make a list of the requirements for becoming an astronaut. Listen to the tapescripts Activity3: Work in pairs. Discuss whether you would like to be an astronaut in the future and give your reasons. Use what you have learnt from the interview to help you. Activity4: Show some pictures and a short video to introduce the topic : Talk about life in space. Activity5: Teacher plays the listening material and asks students to answer. 1. What did he look forward to most during his stay in space Discuss with their patterner and voice their opinions Listen to the materials carefully and do the listening exercises. Find out the useful expressions in the conversation and voice their opinions. Students watch the video, look at the pictures and items in Activity 1 on page 43 and discuss which of them are necessary for astronauts' life in space.
