教学 目标 After this class, students are expected to: 1.Lead the students to understand what happened on Macquarie Island. 2.Develop the students’ reading skills and enable them to learn how to use different reading strategies to read different reading materials. 3.Enable students to understand the whole passage.
教学 重点 1.Guide the students to predict the main content of the text and get the general idea . 2.Let the students master the key words and phrases in this part. 3.Guide the students to find out the author's purpose of writing and say the reason
教学 难点 1.Let the students learn to analyze and solve problems ,and improve their reading level. 2.Guide the students to analyze human intervention behavior,purpose and impact on Macquarie Island.

学情分析及学习方法 This section presents a text reflecting the theme of the unit. The text type is a column article. In the text, three students from different countries expressed their understanding and positioning of 18 years old. The lead-in activities before reading help students clarify the legal age to do different things in our country, activate students' existing knowledge of legal age, and pave the way for the study of the text. Reading activities test students' ability to understand text titles and extract key information. The post-reading activities inspire students to think deeply, understand the content of the text, and actively explore the meaning of the theme through judging the main idea, understanding the details and answering open questions.

问题 情境 导入 Task 1:Ask the students to look at the pictures independently and name the animals they see in the pictures. Task2: Ask the students to discuss the two questions and share their answers. What kind of changes would take place if cats, rats and rabbits were introduced to an environment like this Students look at the pictures and think about the age when people are allowed to do the six things on the book individually. Students work in groups and discuss the question. Some students share the answers with the class. To help students get familiar with the topic in advance. 教学 过程 Step 1. Pre-reading Teacher asks students to look at the title and pictures, then try to guess the meaning of the title. Teacher asks students to read the passage quickly and check the answer. Teacher asks some students to share the answers. Step 2. While-reading Teacher asks students to read the passage quickly and choose the best title according to the personal understanding. Teacher invites some students to share their answers with the whole class and give the reasons. Teacher asks others to express different ideas and give reasons. Step 3. Post-reading Read the text carefully and choose the best answers according to the text. 1．What's the main idea of the passage A．Macquarie Island was saved from destruction. B．All kinds of creatures live in harmony in Macquarie Island. C．How did mankind destroy Macquarie Island D．Macquarie Island's unique scenery. Students look at the title and pictures and guess what the title means. Students read the passage quickly and check the answer. Some students share the answers with the whole class. Students read the passage quickly and choose the best title according to the personal understanding. Students share their answers with the whole class and give the reasons. Others express their different ideas give reasons. 1.Some groups share their answers with the class and other students make some comments. 2.Students go through the four questions and think about them individually.
