Cultural Note:
It used to be common for children to attend a summer camp in rural location.

2. Children would take part in basic camping activities such as swimming in a lake, learning to make a fire, and make crafts from wood.
3. Over the years, some camps have become much more specialised. Now there are summer camps dedicated to different kinds of sports, to chess, to classical music, to science, to theare, you name it.
4. Some of the highly specialised camps may be quite expensive or have high requirements to attend, and may have a waiting list for those who wish to sign up.
