Listening training and oral activities can improve students' listening and speaking abilities, enhance their ability to extract key information, and enhance their understanding of volunteer activities. At the same time, through interactive forms such as group discussions and role-playing, cultivate students' language communication skills, learning transfer abilities, and language interaction and thinking abilities in professional contexts.

Language objectives Listening objectives: Students are able to understand listening materials related to volunteer activities, obtain key information, and understand the main idea. Oral goal: Students should be able to speak fluently and accurately about volunteer work and use the learned sentence structures to complete conversations related to volunteer recruitment. 2. Educational objectives Cultivate students' attention and understanding of public welfare undertakings, and enhance their sense of social responsibility and civic awareness. Cultivate students' teamwork and social skills, and promote their active participation in volunteer activities. Through volunteer action cases, guide students to think about the relationship between social issues and personal responsibilities, and cultivate their independent thinking and critical abilities.
“课程思政” 教育内容 In this lesson, we can guide students to reflect on the importance of volunteer service for personal growth, social development, and national construction. Firstly, we can watch and read relevant videos, reports, and cases of volunteer activities to help students understand the specific content and significance of volunteer work, and guide them to think: why are some people willing to contribute to society for free How does this relate to personal values and social responsibility Through such discussions, we can help students realize that volunteering is not only a behavior, but also a spirit and attitude, and is one of the important ways to cultivate socialist core values. Secondly, we guide students to think about how to combine volunteer service with social development, taking into account current hot social issues. For example, due to the recent flood caused by Typhoon Dussuri, we can encourage students to participate in volunteer activities related to rescue efforts; In the face of disasters, we can also organize students to participate in rescue and rescue operations. Through these practices, we can make students deeply realize that as citizens, everyone has a responsibility and obligation to contribute to society, and volunteer service is one of the effective ways to achieve this goal. Finally, we use interactive methods such as role-playing to allow students to personally experience the process of volunteer recruitment. In this process, we can emphasize abilities such as teamwork and communication skills to help students better understand the connotation and significance of volunteer work. At the same time, we can also guide students to pay attention to the social impact and value of volunteer service, making them realize that their behavior and choices are not only related to personal growth and development, but also to social progress and development. In summary, by combining the educational content of "ideological and political education in the curriculum", we can guide students to deeply reflect on the significance and value of volunteer service, cultivate students' sense of social responsibility and civic awareness, and also improve their comprehensive quality and ability level.
教学方法与手段 (说明:需涵盖达到“课程思政”教学目标和完成其教育内容要求所采取的教学方法与具体举措。) 1.Survey and research method Use a questionnaire star to investigate students' willingness, interest, understanding of volunteer work, as well as potential obstacles and concerns they may face. Based on this, develop teaching plans and activities that are more tailored to students' needs. 2.Video Viewing and Discussion Display a video of volunteer work during the recent floods in Hebei caused by Typhoon Dussuri, arousing students' interest and attention to volunteer work. After watching, students will have group or class discussions to share their views, feelings, and reflections on volunteer work. 3.Collaborative Dialogue Exercise Introduce vocabulary and expressions through image and text matching and simple discussions to prepare for future discussions with peers about suitable volunteer activities. Double person activity, where students discuss suitable volunteer activities based on their interests, use vocabulary and expressions related to volunteer work, and demonstrate cooperation and communication skills. 4.Scenario role-playing The teacher provides dialogue task cards, requiring students to collaborate with peers and practice volunteer recruitment based on the provided information, further practicing sentence structures, and consolidating their mastery of the communication framework. On this basis, role-play recruiters and volunteers and engage in dialogue. Students improve their English oral expression skills, cultivate critical thinking and teamwork spirit through cooperative dialogue exercises. 5.Information exchange game Design an information transfer game where students are grouped in a row, and the teacher provides a prompt word at the beginning of the team. Then, students verbally convey the prompt word to the end of the team, and finally compare the difference between the transfer result and the initial prompt word. The vocabulary and expressions in games are related to volunteer work, promoting communication and exchange among students through games, and consolidating the vocabulary and expressions learned. 6. Group discussion and presentation Raise questions about volunteer work and guide students to discuss the significance and impact of volunteer activities. Students discuss in groups, demonstrate their thinking and analytical abilities, and share the results and viewpoints of the discussion with the entire class. Through the above teaching methods and specific measures, students can comprehensively improve their English oral expression ability in listening and speaking activities, enhance their understanding and willingness to participate in volunteer work. Through activities such as watching videos, discussions, role-playing scenarios, cooperative dialogue exercises, and information exchange games, students can flexibly use vocabulary and expressions related to volunteer work, and cultivate critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills.
