一、基数词：
基数词是指表示数目多少或顺序多少的词。在英语中，基数词可以作主语、宾语、定语、表语和同位语。以下是基数词在句子中的主要用法:
作主语：基数词可以用于表示事物或人物的个数，作为句子的主语。例如:"There are three cats in the house."(屋子里有三只猫。)
作宾语：基数词可以用于表示事物或人物的个数，作为句子的宾语。例如:"I have ten dollars to buy a book."(我花十美元买一本书。)
作定语：基数词可以用于修饰名词，作为名词的定语。例如:"This is a two-bedroom house."(这是一栋两卧室的房子。)
作表语：基数词可以用于表示数量或顺序，作为句子的表语。例如:"She is the first student to arrive at the meeting."(她是会议第一个到达的学生。)
作同位语：基数词可以用于同位语的位置，对前面的名词或代词进行进一步说明。例如:"The teacher gave each student ten points for the assignment."(老师给每个学生布置了十美元的奖金。)
二、基数词的读法和写法
基数词是指表示数目多少或顺序多少的词。在英语中，基数词可以用于表示数量或顺序，作为句子的主语、宾语、定语、表语和同位语等位置。以下是基数词的读法和写法:
（1）．从1——10 one，two，three，four，five，six，seven，eight，nine，ten．
（2）．从 11——19 eleven，twelve， thirteen， fourteen， fifteen， sixteen， seventeen，eighteen， nineteen．
这里除 eleven， twelve， thirteen， fifteen， eighteen为特殊形式外，fourteen，sixteen，seventeen，nineteen都是由其个位数形式后添加后缀-teen构成。
（3）．从 20——99 整数几十中除twenty，thirty, forty，fifty，eighty为特殊形式外，sixty，seventy，ninety都是其个位数形式后添加后缀-ty构成。
表示几十几时，在几十和个位基数词形式之间添加连字符“-”
21读作： twenty-one ；76 读作：seventy-six
（4）．百位数个数基数词形式加“hundred”，表示几百，在几十几与百位间加上and．
101 读作：a hundred and one； 320 读作：three hundred and twenty ；648读作： six hundred and forty-eight
（5）．千位数以上 从数字的右端向左端数起，每三位数加一个逗号“，”。从右开始，第一个“，”前的数字后添加 thousand，第二个“，”前面的数字后添加 million，第三个“，”前的数字后添加 billion。然后一节一节分别表示，两个逗号之间最大的数为百位数形式。
2,648读作： two thousand six hundred and forty-eight
16,250,064读作： sixteen million two hundred and fifty thousand sixty-four
5,237,166,234读作： five billion，two hundred and thirty-seven million，one hundred and sixty-six thousand，two hundred and thirty-four
（6）．基数词在表示确切的数字时，不能使用百、千、百万、十亿的复数形式；但是，当基数词表示不确切数字，如成百、成千上万，三三两两时，基数词则以复数形式出现。
There are hundreds of people in the hall． 大厅里有数以百计的人。
Thousands and thousands of people come to visit the Museum of Qin Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses every day． 每天有成千上万的人来参观秦兵马俑博物馆。
三、基数词复数形式：
基数词在英语中表示数目多少或者顺序多少的词。在英语中，基数词的复数形式通常通过在基本形式后面添加“-s”来表示。例如:
one → ones
two → twos
three → threes
four → fours
five → fives
six → sixes
seven → sevens
eight → eights
nine → nines
ten → tens
eleven → elevens
twelve → twelves
thirteen → thirteens
fourteen → fourteens
fifteen → fifteens
sixteen → sixteens
seventeen → seventeens
eighteen → eighteens
nineteen → nineteens
twenty → twenty-s
thirty → thirty-s
forty → forty-s
fifty → fifty-s
sixty → sixty-s 70.七十 →七十-s
eighty → eighty-s
ninety → ninety-s
hundred → hundred-s 1,000. thousand → thousands 10,000. ten thousand → ten thousand 100,000. million → millions 1,000,000. billion→ billion
例如:
children (孩子) → children's(孩子的)
children's (孩子的) → children's (孩子的)
children's books(孩子们的书籍) → children's books'(孩子们的书籍的)
四、基数词表示口诀：
一二三特殊记,八去t九去e,
五和十二变ve，ti代ty,不要忘了e,
若说几十几,只变个位序数词,
最后都加th.
