教材分析 本课教学内容选自高等教育出版社出版的“十四五”职业教育国家规划教材，《英语 3基础模块》中Unit 1 Festival Around the World 的Warming up和Listening and Speaking， 要求学生能识记与中国传统节日相关的词汇与短语，识别节日介绍中的文化信息，礼貌地接受或拒绝节日庆祝活动的邀请，了解和尊重不同的节日文化。
学情分析 本单元的话题是中外节日。同学们经过中小学阶段的学习，能够说出个别重要西方节日的信息，但因为缺乏相关词汇和表达的积累，对怎样用英语谈论中国传统节日感到吃力。因此，教师在听说部分应采取由浅入深的教学策略，先为学生扫除词汇障碍，再引导学生由简单到复杂，由操练到替换进行练习，最后到语境运用，实现语言输出。
学习目标 1. elicit information about festivals by listening activity 2. invite foreign friends to Chinese festival celebrations 3. improve their listening skills by scanning before listening and taking notes while listening. 4. stimulate their interest in Chinese traditional festival culture
学习重难点 elicit the key information about festivals from the listening materials and talk about the activities and arrangements of festivals. Skillfully use the sentences talking about the time and activities of festivals.

Step 1: Lead in Brainstorm. T: Can you name some festivals all over the world Ask students to brainstorm as many festivals as possible. Possible answers: the Spring Festivals, the Dragon-boat Festival, the Mid-autumn Day,Christmas, Thanks-giving Day... Brief Introduction of Festivals. Introduce the festivals by asking: When is it /How do you celebrate it /Can you tell me more about it Have a Guess. T: Can you guess what it is Possible answers: dumpling, mooncake, dragon boat... Brainstorm as many festivals as possible. Think about the questions and learn more about different festivals. Speak out the possible answers. 通过头脑风暴，回答相关问题和猜一猜等一系列活动，激活相关词汇的表达。
Step 2: Warming up Look and Match. T: Observe the pictures and match them with the right festivals. Read and Write. The teacher leads the students to conclude the information of these four festivals. Possible answers: Picture 1: The Dragon Boat Festival is one of the most important traditional festivals in China and falls on the 5th day of the 5th lunar month in Chinese calendar every year. On that day, people watch dragon boat race and eat zongzi to honor Qu yuan. Picture2: The Mid-Autumn festival is held on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar when the moon is at its brightest and fullest. For Chinese people, the full moon is a symbol for family reunion. At the Mid-Autumn Festival, all the family members would get together to taste moon cakes and appreciate the round moon. Picture3: Thanksgiving Day is a day for people in the western countries to give thanks for what they have. It falls on the 4th Thursday in November in the USA. On that day, families and friends get together for a meal, which traditionally includes a roast turkey, potatoes, and pumpkin pie and so on. Picture4: The Water-Splashing Festival is an important festival of Dai minority, which is held from the 13th to 16th of the 4th month of the Chinese lunar calendar. During the festival, Dai people seek good luck by splashing water at one another, lighting lanterns on the river at night and washing Buddha with water. Observe the pictures and match. Use the information given and write down the important information about the festivals including it’s name, time, activities... 本环节通过图片匹配等活动，引出节日庆贺相关的词汇和句型，扫清听力词汇和句型障碍，为后续的听说活动做准备。
Step 3: Listening Pre-listening Play a video about the Mid-autumn Festival. Explain some key words: lunar calendar 农历；symbol n.象征;reunion n.团聚； appreciate v.欣赏； get together 聚集，举行社交聚会… While-listening Listen and tick. Listen to the dialogue and ask students to figure out what they are talking about. Listen and complete. Ask students to quickly read through the brief introduction and make clear what information they are going to fill in. And then play the mp3. Listen and complete. Firstly, ask students to read the brief introduction and let them predict the possible answer And then, play the listening material and ask them to write down the important information. Post-listening Show students the listening script and check the answers. Then ask students to imitate the pronunciation and intonation of the script and read after it. Summarize the language points. (1)plan to…(2)invite sb to do sth … (3)be known as (4)be similar to Watch the video and learn more about the festival. Get familiar with these words to better understand the listening text. Listen to the dialogue for three times and finish the tasks of the listening activity. Imitate the pronunciation and intonation and read after the script.And take notes of the language points. 为听力部分扫清生词障碍，做词汇上的铺垫。 本环节在听力活动1环节，通过训练学生利用问题和选项预测听力内容，在听的过程中有意捕捉信息并判断文章主题；在听力环节2引导学生运用听前策略，根据提示信息，有的放矢地听，提高学生把握对话主要内容并记录的能力；在听力环节3中，通过补全句子，让学生在把握对话主要内容的基础上提高提取细节信息的能力，同时也为下一环节中的语言输出做准备。
Step 4: Dialogue learning Listen, read and underline. Introduce the background of the dialogue. T: Li Lei and Robert Jones are talking about the Spring Festival and Christmas, please listen to the mp3 and underline sentences talking about festivals. 2.Watch and answer. What I love most is… After that, the teacher summarize the important sentences: 发出邀请：Would you like to come 回应邀请：I’d love to, but...(拒绝)/Of course I will.(同意)/I’m so glad to receive your invitation.（同意） 名称：What festival are you going to celebrate 时间：When is the festival /It falls on... 活动：How do you celebrate this festival /What I love most is... Listen to the mp3 and underline sentences talking about festivals. Watch the video and answer the questions. Take notes and understand the situations of these different sentences. 初步熟悉文本。 通过观看对话视频，回答问题让学生对文本有进一步的了解。 学习文本的重点词句，夯实长难句，为后面的口语输出做铺垫。 分析重点句型，让学生弄清不同句型的使用情景，为后续的口语输出做好输入准备。

B: Sounds good. How do you celebrate this big day A: Usually, we celebrate it by making apple pie, playing English games, and watching movies. B: That’s so nice. I am so happy to receive your invitation. 2.Role Play. Introduce the background: You are Fang Ming, manager of a car company. You are going to celebrate the Lantern Festival, an important festival in China. You want to invite Frank Miller, a new employee from Germany to join you. Name: the Lantern Festival Time: the 15th day of the first Chinese lunar month Activities: eat yuanxiao ; enjoy lantern shows Make clear the name/time/place/activities of the Festival. Practice talking about the festivals by using the sentences patterns.
