教学重难点 1.识记形容词和副词比较级的变化规则; 2.谈论人物的个性特征并正确使用比较级对人物的个性特征进行比较。
教学过程
◆Step 1　Leading in Ask Ss to write down as many adjectives about people as possible. tall—short,thin—heavy,long hair—short hair...( ◆Step 2　Work on 1a Match each word with its opposite.( ◆Step 3　Presentation T:Look at the pictures.(Can you see the differences between them S1:Yao Ming is tall. S2:Pan Changjiang is short. T:Very good.We can also say:Yao Ming is taller than Pan Changjiang. Then ask the students to complete the following comparison. Summarize the Comparatives. A+be(V)+比较级+than+B. 设计意图由图片导入新课,使学生直观发现两者的不同点,从而导入本节课新语言目标的学习。
◆Step 4　Work on 1b 1.Listen and number the pairs of twins in the picture [1-3]. 2.Check the answers.( ◆Step 5　Work on 1c 1.Let Ss practice the conversation in the picture in Page 17. 2.Let Ss make their own conversation about the other twins. 3.Ask several pairs to say their conversations.
