It was a September day, and as usual, the halls of Pine High School were filled with excitement. Students of all grades were rushing around. But for one student, today was unlike any other day. Today was the first day of high school for a freshman, Jamie. Jamie had always been a bit of a shy kid, but she had always loved her studies. She made up her mind to make the most of her high school years, but she knew that it wouldn't be easy.
As she walked down the hallways, Jamie couldn't help but feel worried. The older students seemed so confident, while she felt small and unimportant. But Jamie was determined to succeed, no matter what challenges came her way.
It wasn't long before Jamie was faced with a challenge. In her first week of school, she was assigned(分派)a project that required a lot of research and planning. Travel is predicted to look extremely different in 2070.
Take airports for example, paperwork will be a thing of the past. Instead of paper passports, your information will be stored in the cloud. This type of technology won't just include what we are familiar with today—like fingerprints or face scans—but also your heartbeat, as everyone's heartbeat is unique.
There will be no need to check in. The facial recognition programme will instead be able to recognise you, match you with your booked flight and send messages to your phone as you walk through the airport without stopping.
Your bags, especially the heavy ones, will be sent directly from your train or taxi to the right plane. And that taxi will not be like the ones we know today. People will be expected to travel to the airport--and around their holiday destinations-in eVTOLs, which refers to electric air taxis that can take off and land without a runway.
As for the trouble of packing, 3D printers will provide perfect solutions. Simply provide your destination with your size using a body scan before you fly and, upon arrival, you will find a. wardrobe(衣橱) filled with 3D-printed clothes . When you leave, these clothes will be recycled and reprinted for the next tourist. Not only will this solve the problem of packing, but also make holiday fashion more environment -friendly.
While the predictions might seem unbelievable now, you only have to look back 50 years to realize it's all possible. Think back to 1973 when smartphones. were just a wild dream. “ Google” scemed like a made-up word then, and notebook computers were still almost years away from being invented. Similarly, when we look forward to the next 50 years, the possibilities for development in technology for travel are endless.
28. What can we learn about the check-in at the airport in 2070
A. You'll have to carry your paper passports.
B. It won't need your heartbeat information.
C. You must stop to check the phone for boarding.
D. It is no longer needed because of the facial recognition programme.
29, When you get to the destination ,________________________.
A. your bag will be sent to you by taxi
B. a body scan will work out your size
C. the clothes of your size will be ready for you
D. your packing may do harm to the environment
30. Why does the author mention 1973 in the last paragraph
A. To prove the predictions are possible.
B. To show the inventions are necessary.
C. To list the achievements of the year.
D. To express the confidence for travel.
31. What's the best title for the text
A. Anew type of air taxi.
B. Prediction for future of travel.
C. The advantage of 3Dprints.
D. The solution to future packing.

The Art Center at my school provides a wide range of programs. I tried out most of the programs offered on campus, and group fitness classes have been my favorite. They are free weekly classes taught and led by a student instructor, and they include yoga, cycle, weight-lifting and many more.
I started taking group fitness classes in cardio dance(有氧舞蹈)as a freshman and showed interest in it after just one class. The class is 45 minutes long and consists of repetitive dance moves that are easy to follow. I have so much fun performing the dance moves and following the beat that my stress of the day is often washed away after the workout. My love for cardio dance gradually evolved into an idea. What if I became a cardio dance instructor and spread the fun to more people
Inspired by this idea, I signed up for a training program for the group fitness instructor (GFI). We covered topics like how to design the class and how to perform first aid, etc. In addition to leaning fitness knowledge, we also got to practice teaching the class, interacting (互 动)with those who joined the class. As I learned more, I realized that becoming a GFI is not as easy as it seems. It takes a lot of practice to show proper form and make sure everyone in class is performing the right way.
When asked why we signed up for the GFI course, some said that fitness classes are a relief from the stress of school, while others said that fitness classes make for a more positive community. Yet, the most popular reason is the love for group fitness classes themselves. I feel thankful to be a part of the fitness community and share my contributions with people who are always there to support and cheer you up.
32. What do we know about the group fitness classes the author took
A. They cost a lot and are taught once a month.
B. She felt less stressed after taking the classes.
C. The dance moves taught in class were hard to follow.
D. She got interested in the course in her second year of school.
33. What do the underlined word "evolved" mean in paragraph 2
A. Developed. B. Ran. C. Escaped. D. Fell.
34. What can we learn from paragraph 3
A. Expert knowledge is unnecessary for a GFI.
B. A GFI needn't communicate with others in class.
C. Becoming a fitness instructor can be fun, but hard.
D. Fitness knowledge is more important than practice.
35. What is the common reason for taking fitness classes
A. Love for fitness. B. Thanks for community partners.
C. A relief from stress. D. Curiosity about the fit community.

Text 10
I’ve always enjoyed traveling. And to work for a travel magazine is fantastic for me. So when the magazine offered me the chance to go to write an article about Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, I accepted immediately. Before I went, I tried to find out as much as I could about the place. Unluckily, the library had very few books on Indonesia. And I don’t have any friends or relatives who live there. So I went online and found out what I needed to know there.
Jakarta is an amazing city. The old town with its attractive old houses is so different from the center full of tall buildings. I didn’t like the traffic there though. I know all big cities have this problem, but I noticed it more there. Before I went, people said it would be too hot for me. But after a cold English winter, I welcomed it.
