探究一：如何询问和回答别人的生日？
用特殊疑问词when(什么时候)来询问别人的生日，句型为：
When + be + one’s+ birthday
回答：One’s +birthday +be+ on/in … 或者It’s +on/in …
(one’s指形容词性物主代词和名词所有格）
e.g. When is your birthday

1) 单数名词后加“ ’s ”（以-s结尾的人名后加“ ’ ”或“ ’s ”）。

2) 以-s结尾的复数名词只加“ ’ ”，不以-s结尾的复数名词通常加“ ’s ”。

“名词+’s”所有格主要用于有生命的名词的所有关系。

3) 表示几个人共有，仅在最后一个人的名字后加“’s”；表示各自所有时，应在各个名字后加“’s”。

1) of 所有格多用于表示无生命事物的名词的所有关系。

探究三：介词in,on,at的用法。
介词in,on,at都可以放在时间名词的前面，但是用法是不同的。
in, on, at用法对比：in: ＋年，月，季节，早中晚
on: ＋具体的某一天，或具体的早中晚
at: ＋时间点
介词“in”的用法
1.表示时间：在某年、某月、某个季节，在早中晚
2.表示地点、场所(多指较大的地方) in Zhengzhou
in 1991 ; in August; in summer; in the morning\afternoon\evening
3.表示颜色 The girl in black is my sister.
4.表示用某种语言：What’s this in English
5.方位介词，在...里 in the schoolbag, in the classroom
介词“at”表示时间
表示时间：
后跟时间点，或者表示在正午，在夜里。
at+时间点/正午/夜里
at 8:00 at noon 在正午 at night 在夜里
介词“on”表示时间
表示时间：表示在具体的某一天，或者具体的早中晚

表示人或事物先后顺序的数词叫序数词。序数词大多数是由基数词变化而来的，序数词往往与定冠词the连用。
探究四：序数词的构成和用法。
一、序数词的构成：基数词变序数词规律
1) 1-3的序数词first / second / third与基数词差别很大，应逐一记忆。
2) 4-19的序数词是在相应基数词后加上后缀-th。注意fifth，eighth，ninth，twelfth的特殊性。
3) 整十的序数词，通常是把相应的整十的基数词词尾的y变成ie，再加-th。

4) 表示“第几十几”，只需把个位数的基数词变为序数词，十位数不变。

thirty-four thirty-fourth
5) 序数词的缩写形式是在阿拉伯数字后直接加上序数词的最后两个字母。
first = 1st

third = 3rd
ninth = 9th
twentieth = 20th

1、2、3 特殊记 one →first 第一 two → second 第二 three →third 第三
4～19 基数词词尾加-th 特殊：five → fifth 第五 eight → eighth 第八 nine → ninth 第九 twelve → twelfth 第十二
一般：four → fourth 第四
nineteen → nineteenth 第十九
20, 30,40, … 整十数的变化： -ty变为-tie再加th twenty → twentieth 第二十 thirty → thirtieth
第三十 forty →fortieth 第四十 …
其余两位数 将基数词的个 位改为序数词 twenty-one → twenty-first 第二十一 thirty-nine → thirty-ninth 第三十九
基变序，有规律，多数词尾加-th。
一二三，特殊记，词尾字母t, d, d。
八去t，九去e，f 来把 ve替，然后再加-th。
遇到整十需注意，变 y为ie，然后再加-th。
若是遇到几十几，只变个位数字就可以；
中间连字符“-”，千万别忘记。
巧学妙记
序数词的用法
1) 序数词前一般要加定冠词the。
2) 序数词常用来修饰名词，但当名词前有形容词性物主代词等限定词时，序数词前不用定冠词。
I live on the second floor. 我住在二楼。
Today is my ninth birthday. 今天是我的九岁生日。
3) 表示分数时，分子用基数词，写在前面；分母用序数词，写在后面。当分子大于1的时候，表示分母的序数词要+s。

4) 序数词前有时也可加不定冠词a / an，这时表示的不再是具体范围内的“第几”，而是表示在原有基础上的“又一个，另一个”。
