Losing your phone is a pity, but I did just that when I got into a taxi and closed the door
heavily. I heard a loud noise. It was the sound of my phone’s screen breaking. Besides the sound
of breaking glass, the other sound I heard was my own voice saying, “Oh, no! What have I done ”
So , for the next day, I had to live without a phone: no calls, no texts, no social media. And
what I discovered was that I really didn’t miss making phone calls or getting text messages or else.
It was actually relaxing. For that whole day, I was able to stop living in a “virtual” world and start
living in the “real” world.

Boeing 787-8 Dream-liner on the computer and became very interested. Although his language is
just three or four words at a time, he clearly told me "This is the little Continental I want!” Easy
enough, I thought. I usually have no problem finding toys on the Internet.
But this Matchbox Sky Buster, made only in 2008, was difficult to find. It was not on any of
the places from which I had bought toys for Noah. I spent hours at the computer looking for the
plane. I discovered several Matchbox collectors online, and over the next few weeks I sent emails
to them, but none of them had Noah's dream plane. So I decided to turn to Matchbox in California.
My email made its way to Abe Lugo, the lead project designer( 设计师 ) for Matchbox, who
replied to let me know he was looking for the 2008 Continental Boeing 787-8.
While hoping to hear good news from Abe at Matchbox, I continued my research. Although
for weeks I had no luck on the Internet, I tried again and saw there was still no auction(拍卖)for
Noah's dream plane! Noah's impatience(不耐烦)was growing, and I was starting to lose heart.
A week later ,received an email from Abe saying he had a plane in hand for Noah and would
be shipping it that afternoon !
Last week, we received the package (包裹)from Abe. Noah opened it in rapture. He held the
toy plane close to his face. He turned it over. And I saw his tears of joy!
We sent a video to Abe, whom we hadn’t met or even talked to on the phone. I wanted Noah
to say thank-you in his own words. In the video, Noah say, “Thanks, Mr. Lugo. You're welcome,
honey.”

B. believed it would be easy to find that toy online
C. wondered why Noah was so interested in that plane
D. found his son’s special hobby and ability
67. What did the writer NOT do to get the toy plane
A. He visited every toy store in his city to look for it.
B. He tried to get in touch with several Matchbox collectors.
C. He asked the lead project designer for Matchbox for help.
D. He kept an eye on whether there was an auction for it.
68. The word “rapture” in the last but one paragraph probably means “ ___________”.

A. The writer never gave up his search though there was no luck.

C. Noah expressed his thanks to Abe in a lovely way.
D. Noah treasured the plane for it was the only one remaining.
70. The best title of the passage could be “ ___________”.

So , for the next day, I had to live without a phone: no calls, no texts, no social media. And what I discovered was that I really didn’t miss making phone calls or getting text messages or else. Like many children with autism(自闭症), my son Noah loves planes. He carries a toy plane with him wherever he goes. Last month, Noah saw a 2008 Matchbox Sky Busters Continental Boeing 787-8 Dream-liner on the computer and became very interested. Although his language is just three or four words at a time, he clearly told me "This is the little Continental I want!” Easy enough, I thought. I usually have no problem finding toys on the Internet.
But this Matchbox Sky Buster, made only in 2008, was difficult to find. It was not on any of the places from which I had bought toys for Noah. I spent hours at the computer looking for the plane. I discovered several Matchbox collectors online, and over the next few weeks I sent emails to them, but none of them had Noah's dream plane. So I decided to turn to Matchbox in California. My email made its way to Abe Lugo, the lead project designer( 设计师) for Matchbox, who replied to let me know he was looking for the 2008 Continental Boeing 787-8.
While hoping to hear good news from Abe at Matchbox, I continued my research. Although for weeks I had no luck on the Internet, I tried again and saw there was still no auction(拍卖)for Noah's dream plane! Noah's impatience(不耐烦)was growing, and I was starting to lose heart.
A week later ,received an email from Abe saying he had a plane in hand for Noah and would be shipping it that afternoon !
Last week, we received the package (包裹)from Abe. Noah opened it in rapture. He held the toy plane close to his face. He turned it over. And I saw his tears of joy!
We sent a video to Abe, whom we hadn’t met or even talked to on the phone. I wanted Noah to say thank-you in his own words. In the video, Noah say, “Thanks, Mr. Lugo. You're welcome, honey.”
