Their photographs stirred emotions worldwide and brought more attention to the issue.
With the increased awareness, more measures were taken to remove the threats to these species. The illegal hunting was reduced significantly, and the species began to slowly recover. Tom continued to watch over the animals, ensuring they were not under any threat.
