Unit 2 Wildlife Protection
A Tale of Conservation and Awareness
Once upon a time, on Earth, there was an alarming rate of species becoming extinct. The mass die-out was a concern for all the creatures living in harmony within their habitats. Among these species were the shark, whale, deer, kangaroo, dolphin, and even certain types of insects.
In a small town, a poster was put up by the local authority to make people aware of the threat. The poster showed an illegal hunt of a shark, stirring the emotions of the townsfolk. The average person was not aware of the alarming rate at which species were becoming extinct, and this poster served as a vivid reminder.
A young boy named Tom, who had always loved observing animals, was immediately moved by the poster. He decided to search for ways to help these endangered species. His first measure was to adapt his own lifestyle to reduce his impact on these creatures' habitats. He also intended to pressure his friends and family to do the same. One day, while Tom was observing the animals in the reserve, he noticed a group of men with cameras. They were not there to shoot the animals with guns for profit, but to capture their beauty and remind the world of the importance of these creatures. Their photographs stirred emotions worldwide and brought more attention to the issue.
With the increased awareness, more measures were taken to remove the threats to these species. The illegal hunting was reduced significantly, and the species began to slowly recover. Tom continued to watch over the animals, ensuring they were not under any threat.
