On Monday morning, when going through my Facebook, I came across a post by a friend of mine. In her post, she mentioned she was going through the darkest period in her life. Exhausted and helpless, she struggled to take care of her mother who was suffering cancer in the hospital. The moment she accidentally saw the encouraging note, a bright smile lit up her face. So moved was she that she believed everything would work out eventually. At the same time, she also included a photo of the note.

It was one of our Post-it notes! I recognized it immediately from the little multi-colored hearts. It read, “Things will get better! Keep smiling!” Knowing that what we did made a difference to someone’s life, I felt like I was floating in an ocean of joy. I cheerfully “liked” her post and shared this warm story with the kids. Small kindness did matter and we would definitely continue with our ARK activity. Maybe more frequently.
