Uncountable nouns
A countable noun refers to something we can count. For example, an apple, two pears and ten lemons.
An uncountable noun refers to something we cannot count. For example, we cannot say a bread.

A countable noun refers to something we can count. For example, an apple, two pears and ten lemons.

可数名词有单复数变化,通常与a/an,基数词(two, three…), 表数量的形容词(many, some, several…)搭配使用。

If the countable noun begins with a vowel sound, we use “an”.

An uncountable noun refers to something we cannot count. For example, we cannot say a bread.
