M: During the years of game making, there have been a number of games. Many old games have disappeared since modern games come out. Teachers at a primary school asked their students to write articles about games they knew. And those teachers were shocked by the results because more than half of the students wrote about online games. A kind of jump rope games played with rubber bands connected together to make a long rope played in many countries. Rubber band jumping was once popular in primary schools. Girls loved playing this game. This game can help kids practice their jumping skills, develop coordination, and also meet lots of friends. It is common these days to see primary school students spending their breaks in the classroom. They are busy with their studies. “When we were young, we played many different outdoor games, but today’s children don’t know what to play or how to play,” a 40-year-old mother said. “If these kids want something, they can get it, but they don’t know what teamwork is.” Alarmed by the situation, educational officers have tried to make some programs to educate children about traditional games.

Every Thursday afternoon. my art history class meets not in our usual lecture hall but in the Yale University An Gallery. We spend our one hour class discussing two or three of the paintings, many of which are by artists that we have already studied in class.
In America, professors always take every opportunity to push textbooks aside and expose students to real world experiences. With some creativity, almost any subject can be applied to such beyond the classroom learning.
A friend of mine from Yale taking an advanced psychology course spends every Saturday working with mentally disabled children. Her mornings are spent playing with the kids and studying their sometimes uncontrolled behaviour. Then in the afternoon she writes a report on her observations.
Students generally appreciate these unique leaning opportunities. They’re almost always fun and interesting, and professors like them because students lean so much in just a few short months. No one denies the value of classroom learning. But it can only take students so far. Slides and textbooks may do a good job of carrying facts and data, but creativity and originality of thought cannot be taught. They can only be got through firsthand experience.

Good evening everyone. This is Mike. Tonight, I’d like to address myself to parents who are planning to send their children to university, but who might be concerned about the cost. There’s no doubt that university education is of great value. Not only will your children learn and grow, but according to the Department of Skills figures, on average someone with higher education earns 50% more in a lifetime than someone without. But in the last decade or so, the cost of getting a degree has more than doubled, and it looks as if things are going to get worse. University fees are rising steadily. If you thought funding a university education was beyond your reach, think again. University education can offer your children the opportunity of a lifetime.
If you’re a new parent, remember that the earlier you start saving, the less you have to pay every month and the greater your return.The National Union of Students evaluates that the average undergraduate needs about 25,000 to finance three years at university. Based on these figures, it is projected that when someone is at university in 20 years’ time, the cost will be approximately 40,000. But students can always get some kinds of part-time jobs during university years. Parents can save money by encouraging their children to study locally and live at home. Almost 80% of the costs students have to meet are living expenses.
