He was born in 551 BC.
He was a great Chinese spiritual leader.
Although he was raised in a poor family, he visited famous sholars and learned a lot.
He travelled around to promote his political thinking but failed.
His ideas were developed into a system of philosophy(哲学) known as Confucianism (儒家思想).
He promoted(v.倡导) education for ordinary people.
