八上 Unit 6 I’m going to study computer science.

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. Today it's my great honor to be here topresent our lesson plan. I will divide it into 6 parts. Analysis of teaching materials,learners analysis, teaching objectives,teaching procedures, analysis of blackboard design and teaching reflections.
Part 1: Teaching Materials
The content of our lesson is from Go for it, unit 6 of Grade 8, “I’m going to study computer science.” Section B, 3a-3c. This is a writing lesson.The main topic of this unit is about life goals. By learning this unit, we’ll enable students to know what their future life goals are and how to achieve them. Therefore, this writing lesson as the last part of this unit, is also the important position of this unit. If the Ss can master it well, it will be helpful for them to establish big goals and plan their own development of individuals.
Part 2: The analysis of students.
The students are from Grade 8. They have a certain ability of English-writing.However,some students are not active and confident in class. They are afraid of making mistakes in writing. So, our partners had students study in a relaxing atmosphere and try to improvetheir writing abilities and core competence.
Part 3:Teaching objectives.
According to the new curriculum of English, we established the following objectives:
1.To master the usage of key words and phrases and to write a composition to show own resolutions with the Simple Future Tense.
2.To improve writing ability and master skills.
3.To develop the ability to think,analyze and express opinions logically.
4.To develop teamwork spirits, and positive attitude towards future.
Part 4: Teaching procedures
Here comes the most important part of our teaching plan: the teaching procedures.
Step 1:Warming-up and lead in
Greeting and show the teaching aims.
Watch a video about resolution.
Purpose of our design:
lead into the new lesson 2. arouse students’ interest
Step 2: Pre-writing
Activity One : Review some phrases and the sentences with “be going to”
What’s your resolution I am going to…
play basketball, listen to the teacher carefully, help with housework,
work hard to get good grades...
Activity Two: Fill in the blanks in 3b by sticking the leaves with phrases onto the structure tree on the blackboard.
Purpose of our design:
1.classify phrases
2. increase Ss’understanding of the framework.
Activity Three: Fill in the blanks in 3a , Then analyze and show the structure.
Purpose of our design:
1. Learn more about resolutions
2. Learn the structure of the writing
Step 3: While-writing
Write own compositions independently.
Purpose of our design:
1. Practice what they have learned
2. Train writing
Step 4: Post-writing
Display Ss’ compositions.
Purpose of our design:
1. learn excellent compositions
2. understand the evaluation criterion.
