教材分析 What：The text is a short dialogue between Sally and John talking about the dates of birthdays, birthday parties, basketball games, school trips, and English games. Why：Let students know how to rightly read and write the these school activities and practice the sentence patterns of when. How：The dialogue concludes many sentence patterns of when, which is conducive to training students' familiarity with this sentence pattern and listening ability.
教学目标 By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: 语言能力： (1) have the following words: English test, school trip, birthday party, basketball/soccer game (2) can master the following sentence patterns: -When is the English test -Oh, that’s on Friday, September 29th. 学习能力: （1）listen to the recording for many times to get the activities that Sally and John talk about in the recording and the schedule of the activities, so as to improve my listening and speaking ability. (2) actively cooperate with partners to practice dialogues, cultivate the fun of learning English, and improve the confidence of speaking English. 文化意识: establish a sense of time and be able to arrange various activities in a reasonable and orderly manner. 思维品质：guess the activities in the pictures by looking at the pictures to improve your discrimination ability.

Lead in (2’)
Step 1 T shows three pictures about school trip and asks them these two questions: What are they doing When is your school trip Do you have other activities in your school Ss watch three pictures and answer the questions. It can provide a natural leading-in for learning cardinal numeral. The topic which is close to life can attract Ss’s interests.
T creates a situation: “Hello, I am John. Here are many activities in my school. Can you help me to make a time-table of it ” Ss know who John is and prepare them for all kinds of activities. It can provide a natural leading-in for learning cardinal numeral.

Pre-listening (10’)
Step 2 T teaches Ss the expressions for various activities T asks Ss to guess the activities content through pictures. T leads Ss read the words and expressions and make corrections when necessary Ss learn English expressions for various activities (1) guess the activity content through pictures (2) learn how the teacher pronounces the words and read after the teacher. (3) Complete Part 1a 1a can help Ss strengthen the new words and let them control the pronunciation of the activities.

While-listening (15’)
Step 5 T plays the recording in 1c for the first time to ask Ss to finish 1c and the second time to ask Ss to finish 1d Ss listen to the record two times, finishing 1c and 1d. It can help Ss improve their ability of listening.
Step 6 T asks them read it after the tape and imitate the tone and pronunciation. Ss read and try to imitate the tone and pronunciation of the it. It can help Ss improve their ability of listening. Imitation and repeating can strengthen their tone and pronunciation .

Post-listening (10’)
Step 7 T asks Ss to do a group work to help Ss to practice the conversation by using the words and expression in 1c with their partners. The task provides many chances for all Ss to practice conversation so they can be more confident in speaking English.

Exercises (5’)
Step 8 T asks Ss to finish the exercises on ppt. Ss finish the exercises on ppt. Practice in time can help test students' knowledge of this class.

Conclusion (2’)
Step 9 T gives a mind map about what are learned today. Ss recall the learned knowledge of today. Mind map and summary of new knowledge can help students further understand and remember them.

Homework (1’) Copy the words five times. Practice the conversation in 1c with your desk mate after class. Homework can help students strengthen the knowledge which they have learned.
