这是以be动词开头的一般疑问句。
含有be动词的一般疑问句的结构是：
Be动词+主语+表语(名词/形容词/数词……)？
be动词的形式随着主语的单复数形式变化而变化。
Language points
(1) 当主语是单数时，be动词为单数形式is.
句子结构：Is+主语+表语？
肯定回答：Yes, … is. 是的，……是。
否定回答：No, … isn’t. 不是，……不是。
例句：它是一只猴子吗？
是的，它是。

(2) 当主语是复数时，be动词用复数形式are。
句子结构：Are+主语+表语？
肯定回答：Yes, … are. 是的，……是。
否定回答：No, … aren’t. 不，……不是。

注意：当主语是 I 时，be动词要用am。
2. Is this an orange 这是一个橘子吗？
an 读成/ n/或/ n/，是不定冠词，意思是“一个，一”，有 “任意一个”的含义。
an 用于以元音音素开头的单词前。a 是不定冠词，与 an 的意思一样，用于以辅音音素开头的单词前。
3. It isn’t a classroom! 它不是一间教室！
这是一个否定句。
句型结构：主语+be(am/is/are) +not+表语.
例句：它们不是梨子。
They aren’t pears.
