第一课时(A. Let’s try ＆ Let’s talk)
教学目标 1.能听、说、认读单词dinosaur，hall，than，both，metre；能听、说、读、写句子“That’s the tallest dinosaur in this hall.”“It’s taller than both of us together.”；能在对话情景中进行角色扮演，围绕身高进行问答交流。（语言能力） 2.能感知事物多样性，在理解的基础上进行初步的比较。（文化意识） 3.能比较人物、事物的差异性，并做出正确的价值判断。（思维品质） 4.能积极参与课堂活动，大胆尝试用英语交流。（学习能力）
教学重点 1.能够理解并熟练运用问答身高的句型。 2.能够运用比较级的标志词than进行人或物身高的描述和比较。
教学难点 能够熟练运用交际句型描述或比较人或物的外貌特征。
教学过程 设计意图
Step 1 Warm-up&Lead in 通过猜谜活动，激起学生的好奇心，引发学生的学习兴趣。同时创设情景地——恐龙博物馆，呈现单元主情景图，播放视频，让学生身临其境，为后面的学习作铺垫。
Greetings 教师热情地和学生打招呼问好，作简单的Free talk。 T: Hello! Everyone. Welcome back! Nice to see you again. Ss: Nice to see you, too. Lead in（课前引入） 通过猜谜语引出本课时的主角之一——恐龙，并创设情景地——恐龙博物馆。 1.PPT呈现谜语，教师引导学生猜测。 T: There is riddle for you. They lived in the world long long ago. They ... What are they Ss: ...恐龙。 T: Great! They’re dinosaurs. Dinosaur, dinosaur, dinosaurs, dinosaurs. There are two dinosaurs. They say“We are dinosaurs.”. 2.PPT呈现恐龙博物馆的图片，引出单元主情景图。教师提出问题： What are they talking about What can you learn about dinosaurs 播放主情景视频，学生看视频，回答问题。 T: Look! Where are they now Ss: ... Step 2 Presentation&Practice 通过简短的听力对话，加上图片配合理解，让学生初步感知比较与差异。 引导学生观察图片，带着问题观看动画，整体感知文本，并通过图示帮助学生逐步理解并掌握重点单词和句子。 教师播放录音，学生听录音跟读，使学生能够正确朗读课文。在不同形式的读和表演活动中，加深学生对课文的熟悉度及理解度。
Presentation（对话学习）& Practice Let’s try 1.教师引导学生读题并进行猜测。 2.教师播放A. Let’s try版块的音频，学生听录音，圈答案。随后核 对答案。 T: The children are in the museum. Please listen and circle. T: Finished Let’s check. The first ... 3.PPT呈现听力文本，教师带学生阅读，并画出解题关键句。 4.PPT呈现图片，逐步帮助学生理解关键句，并初步感知形容词的 原级/比较级/最高级。 T: Look and tick. Which one is the second dinosaur Ss: ... T: It eats meat. It’s taller. tall-taller-the tallest Let’s talk 1.PPT呈现主情景图，教师提问，学生看图回答。 T: How many dinosaurs do you see Ss: Five. T: Which one is the tallest S1: ... S2: ... 2.PPT展示大厅的图片，引出并教授单词hall，然后带读。 3.PPT出示A. Let’s talk版块对话的第一句，给出“Which one is the tallest ”的答案。教师提出新问题：How tall is it 播放此版块的视频，请学生看视频回答。 4.PPT出示对话的相关内容，空出关键数字，教师引导学生回答。 同时引出长度单位metre及其复数形式metres，提醒学生此处是省略句。 T: How tall is it Maybe ... metres. Ss: Maybe four metres. T: Please pay attention to the words “metres”. It's the plural form. Read after me, metres ...We can also say “Maybe it is four metres.”. 5.PPT出示不同高度的恐龙图片，让学生看图用句型“It is ... metres. /... metres.”回答。通过数据“2.5m”，讲解小数点的英文表达是 point，让学生学会用英文表达小数。 6.PPT继续出示对话中的重难点句子“Wow! It’s taller than both of us together.”，通过动画演示帮助学生理解both和than，进而理解 整个句子。 7.教师提出课本中的两个问题，让学生阅读并回答。 8.通过问题引出两个比较级的句子，让学生观察相同点，尝试总结 句型。 9.看图片，比较身高，练习比较级的句型“... is taller than ...”。 10.播放Let’s talk版块的音频，学生听录音跟读。 11.两人一组，分角色练习该部分的对话。最后请几组学生上台展 示并评价。
Step 3 Consolidation&Extension 帮助学生在迁移的语境中，创造性地运用所学语言，询问、回答并比较自己与同伴的身高，发展语用能力，感知比较与差异。
1.Be a little reporter 学生当小记者，调查周围同学的身高。 A: Hi, ... How tall are you B: I’m ... metres. 2.Let’s survey—Who is taller/older than me 学生用所学句型互相问答身高及年龄并进行比较，将姓名和身高及年龄信息填入相应的表格中，最后用完整的句型陈述调查结果。 教师可提供参考句型：I’m ... metres. ... is ...metres. I’m ... years old. ... is ...years old. ... is taller than me. ... is older than me. 3.Exercise 将Let’s talk部分的对话挖空，选择合适的选项，把对话补充完整。
Step 4 Summary&Homework
1.小结:师生先共同口头总结，再用PPT完整呈现。 Key words: dinosaur, hall, metre, than, both... Key sentences: That's the tallest dinosaur in this hall. It's taller than both of us together. -How tall are you -I'm 1.65 metres. 2.作业。 1. Listen, read and try to recite the dialogue on P4. 2. Copy the key sentences for 3+1.
教学 反思 本课时由猜谜活动引入恐龙，创设恐龙博物馆的情景，从恐龙的身高对比，引出形容词的tall的比较级及最高级，逐步过渡到恐龙与Zhang Peng及Mike的身高对比，最后通过调查同学身高进行比较等活动，让学生在运用中进一步感知比较与差异。 板书 设计 Unit 1 How tall are you 第一课时 dinosaur tall-taller-tallest hall That’s the tallest dinosaur in this hall. It’s taller than both of us together.
