教材分析 本节课选自人教版 Go for it!七年级上第八单元第一课时，主要的目的是帮助学生学习并掌握1-12个月份，以及1-31的序数词和序数词变化规律。同时，在此基础上，询问他人的生日，谈论时间。最后，让学生通过讨论合作，询问父母的生日以及能为父母做些什么，由此达到情感教育的目的。
教学目标 通过本节课的学习，学生能够： 听说以下词汇： January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December。 掌握日期表达方式。
3. 运用下列句型询问并回答生日：
① —When is your birthday —My birthday is on October 2nd.
② —When is Alice’s birthday —It’s in September.
4. 培养学生积极主动的学习心理状态，调动学习内驱力，通过两人对话、小组活动、查询周围人的生日等一系列活动，培养学生的交际能力和学习主动性。通过谈论父母的生日对学生进行感恩教育，孝敬父母。

Show students the use of “in” and “on” Show students the short forms of the words of months. Organize the game about months Step 4: Teach dates Teach students how to read and write a date in English. Let students listen and repeat the ordinal words. Pair work: Let students say a date in Chinese then ask their partner to say it in English. Summarize the sentence structure Pair work: let students practice the structure with their partners Step 6: Let’s listen. 2b/2c: Let students listen and circle the number they hear. 三、迁移创新活动 Group work Let students ask about the birthdays of their group members and find out whose birthday is in December, then report to the class. 四、Summary Ask students to summarize what we have learned today. 感恩教育 Play a video that made up of the photos of students’ birthdays. Ask students where I get so many photos about their birthdays Then tell them that parents always remember(记得) our birthdays. We should feedback(回馈) our love to them!
