The theme of Unit 2 is under the thematic context of huaman and nature and it is mainly about Wildlife Protection.This period is listening and talking with a topic of “help the wildlife in your neibourhood.

The analysis of teaching objectives
According to the new curriculum standard, the teaching objectives are as follows.
Students will know how to help the wildlife in the neighborhood.
Students will get to know the use of phrases expressing purposes.
Students can use the sentence patterns in speaking.
Students will learn from the lisening materials and think about what they should do to help the wildlife.

1.Cultivate students’ ability of listening for the main idea.;
2.Develop students’ critical thinking and innovative thinking ability by using the phrases to express purposes.

Purpose of my design:
Arouse the students’ interest in this topic.
Activity 1 :Match the words with the pictures
Activity 2: Choose the right ending for each sentences.
Purpose of my design:
Introduce the topic of birdwatching and related vocabulary as preparation for the following activities.
Practise using phrases to express purpose to complete sentences about the topic.
Step2:Pre-listening

Activity 3: Listen and answer the questions.
Activity 4: Listen again and use the phrases you hear to fill in the blanks.
Purpose of my design:
Practise listening for general information about the passage.
Practise listening for more details to highlight the use of phrases expressing purpose.
