一、教学目标：
1. 语言知识目标：
1) 能掌握以下单词：turkey, lettuce, piece, Thanksgiving, traditional, autumn, traveler, England, celebrate, mix, pepper, fill, oven, plate, cover, gravy, serve, temperature
2) 能掌握以下句式结构：
It’s a time to give thanks for food in the autumn.
2. 情感态度价值观目标：
1）形成跨文化意识，在了解西方传统节日及美食的同时，也能联想到中国的传统节日及传统食物，激发爱国之情，同时体验中西方饮食文化的差异。
2）通过食物制作过程的介绍, 让学生认识到劳动成果的来之不易, 使之懂得不能浪费食物, 珍惜他人的劳动成果。
3）就感恩节来提示学生感恩自己周围的人。
二、教学重难点
1. 教学重点：
1) 掌握本课时出现的生词及表达方式。
2) 阅读短文，获得相关信息，提高学生们的综合阅读能力。
2. 教学难点
1) 阅读2b部分的短文并完成相关要求。
三、教学过程
1.Lead in

II. Reading
Fast reading .
Look at the title and pictures, predict what the passage is about.
What is the passage mainly about
2)How many parts can we divide the passage into
Carefully reading .
Read Para.1 and answer the question in 2c . and retell Para.1 .
Watch a video.and put the pictures in the right order . Then finish 2d . And retell how to make a turday dinner with the mind map .
Ⅲ. Group work
1.Look at the pictures.Ask students to answer the special festivals and traditional food in China .
2.Work in groups,Look at the mind map and talk about Spring Festival like 2b.
Ⅳ. Summary
We have known Thanksgiving .
