I. Objectives

III. Lesson Procedure
A. Introduction
Begin with a brief discussion about emergencies: ask students what they think an emergency is and examples they know.
Introduce the unit title and explain the significance of knowing what to do before help arrives.
B. Vocabulary Introduction
Introduce new vocabulary such as "emergency", "first aid", "CPR", "evacuate", etc., using the textbook and visual aids.
Students repeat the words after the teacher and use them in sentences.
C. Listening Activity
Play an audio recording or video related to emergency situations.
Students listen and note down the steps mentioned in the recording.
D. Group Discussion
Divide students into small groups.
Each group discusses what they understood from the audio/video and lists the steps to take in an emergency.
One member from each group presents their findings.
E. Role Play
In their groups, students enact a given emergency scenario, using the vocabulary and steps they’ve learned.
Encourage creativity and correct use of language.
F. Critical Thinking Exercise
Pose hypothetical emergency scenarios and ask students how they would respond.
Discuss the importance of staying calm and thinking clearly in emergencies.
G. Review and Summary
Summarize the main points of the lesson.
Review important vocabulary and emergency procedures.
H. Homework Assignment
Students write a short essay or create a poster about how to handle a specific emergency situation.
IV. Assessment
Participation and contribution in group discussions and role play.
