六、教学准备
课本、课件、学生学习资料; 本课采用多媒体辅助教学，通过图片、视频等多媒体手段，从视觉和听觉上，调动学生的积极性，培养学生的兴趣；通过师生互动、生生互动的方式，使学生轻松习得知识及能力。
七、教学过程
Step1：lead-in
Teacher shows a video of Pinocchio and , asks students answer the questions:
Q1: 1.Who is he
Q2:Do you know why his nose become long
Q3:Are you honest to your family or friends
设计意图：首先让学生观看匹诺曹的视频，视频大意是匹诺曹因为不想上学撒谎导致鼻子变长，吸引学生的注意力,激发学生学习本课的积极性，练习学生的口语。然后回答三个问题，这三个问题环环相扣，由第三个问题引出本课标题——If you tell him the truth now, you will show that you are honest。
Step2：Learning aims
1.在语境中感知条件状语从句的用法。
2.能够读懂描述Steve问题和Diana的建议并提取相关信息。
3.学会分析成长中遇到的问题，并通过不同途径向他人寻求建议；积极为他人的问题提出建议。
设计意图：让学生对本课学习目标有清晰认识，清楚话题任务的要求，为学生的本课学习提供了方向。

Step4：Careful-reading (Problem from David)
Task1: Read the first paragraph and answer the question.

Task 2 ：Read the second paragraph, then answer the question.
After they took the computer game off the computer,what happened Why
Task 3:Read the third paragraph, then answer the question.
Did Steve tell his father about the computer game Why
Task 4:Read the third paragraph again and answer the question.

设计意图：本环节设置了问答、选择题等不同形式的问题，引导学生通过回答问题了解David遇到的问题。本环节重在引导学生掌握细读技巧----根据问题的关键词，速读文章提取有用信息。
Step5：Summary (Problem from David)
Summarize the structure of the first letter and David ’s feelings .
设计意图：引导学生理清第一封信的结构，并总结大卫的情感变化。Step6：Careful-reading（Diana’s advice）
Task5:Read para.1 in the 2nd letter and answer the question.
Q：How many mistakes did Steve made Who are they
Task6:Read para.2 and fill in the balks.
Diana gave the following advice:

设计意图：本环节通过设置问答以及填空等形式的问题，找出大卫犯的两个错误，以及戴安娜的建议；旨在锻炼学生细读文章迅速提取信息的能力。其中任务六以填空形式呈现，部分学生不能完全说出戴安娜的建议，让学生说出关键词降低了题目难度，增强其学习英语的自信心；同时也尽量让学生都参与到活动中来。
Step7：Summary (Diana’s advice）
Think: How to give advice
设计意图
：通过阅读背诵有关戴安娜建议的句子，引导学生总结相关话题的常用句子结构。进一步巩固用于描述动画的词汇和句式，使学生对本课的掌握更加扎实。
Step8 summary (two letters)
设计意图：这个环节，升华思想感情，提高学生的思想认识，引导学生学会分析成长中遇到的问题，并通过不同途径向他人寻求建议；积极为他人的问题提出建议。
Step9 Homework
For all(必做）:
Retell Steve’s problem and Diana’s advice.
Optional（选做）:
Think of a problem in your life, share them with your classmates and talk about the advice next time.
设计意图：学生课下复述本课所学内容，增强表达能力。
