Content analysis 内容分析 The material of the hearing section is the monologue of an Inuit, which introduces the life style of Inuit and its advantages and disadvantages, guides students to think dialectically about the relationship between people and the environment, and understand the life, tradition and culture of people in different parts of the world. 听说板块的材料是一位因纽特人的独白，介绍因纽特人的生活方式及其优缺点，引导学生辩证地思考人与环境的关系，了解世界不同地区人们的生活、传统与文化。
Teaching aims 教学目标 At the end of this block study, students will be able to: 在本版块学习结束时，学生能够： By listening to the monologue, according to the key words, judge what aspects of Inuit lifestyle mentioned in the monologue, complete the table about the advantages and disadvantages of Inuit lifestyle, and summarize how to describe the lifestyle of a region and its advantages and disadvantages; 通过听独白，根据关键词，判断独白中提到因纽特人生活方式的哪些方面，完成关于因纽特人生活方式优缺点的表格，归纳总结如何描述一个地区的生活方式及其优缺点； Appropriate use of the learned vocabulary and sentence patterns, provide materials according to the textbook, contact with the actual life, describe the lifestyle of different regions, talk about its advantages and disadvantages; 恰当运用所学词汇句型，根据课本提供材料，联系生活实际，描述不同地区的生活方式，谈论其优势与不足； Think about the relationship between man and nature, realize the importance of human respect for nature, rational use and transformation of nature, and harmony with nature. 思考人与自然的关系，认识到人尊重自然、合理利用与改造自然、与自然和谐相处的重要性。
Teaching key points 教学重点 By completing listening activities, students obtain factual details about the Inuit lifestyle and its strengths and weaknesses, and then use the vocabulary patterns to describe the lifestyles of different regions and talk about their strengths and weaknesses. 学生通过完成听力活动，获取关于因纽特人的生活方式及其优缺点的事实细节，进而运用所学词汇句型描述不同地区的生活方式，谈论其优势和不足。

Post-listening 听后 Activity 7 Teacher gets students to work in pairs to talk about the advantages and disadvantages of the Inuit life with the help of the table. 老师让学生根据表格进行小组讨论因纽特人生活的优缺点。 Students work in pairs and act out another conversation to talk about life in the tropics and the Arctic by referring to clues on Page 83 and 86. 学生们通过第83和86页的线索，小组合作，进行另一个对话来谈论热带和北极的生活。 Teacher shows students the criteria and students watch the performance from different groups,grade and give comments. 老师向学生展示标准，学生观看来自不同小组的表现，评分并给出评论。 Teacher has students work in pairs and carry out a conversation to talk about the differences between life in southern and northern China in another situation.
