教材分析: Lesson 34 Flying Donuts是冀教版英语八年级上册第六单元的第三课时,以Danny’ imagination为主题,篇幅虽长,但有趣,能够激发学生的想象力,运用学生的想象并描述100年后可能出现的交通工具,并让学生享受这个过程。学生通过学习理解课文大意,初步掌握不定式做目的状语的用法。
学情分析: 通过本单元前面三课时的学习,大多数学生对交通工具的发展历史有了很好的了解,但是对未来的交通工具还是缺乏想象。另外学生的口头表达能力较弱,需要多鼓励和训练。
学习目标: 1.Master new words,phrases and sentences: presentation, invention , backpack ,fuel ,oil, probably;a new kind of transportation,give a presentation,stay up,I would like to present my invention. Understand the text. 3.Try to use infinitives. 4. Introduce to describe one of transportation from the future.

一、教学导入 1.Play a game.Let some students explain it in English, while the others guess what it is. You must say the transportation. Such as: A transporter is very long. It can hold many people in it. It can also take goods. What is it 2.Show the students learning aims. 二次备课
二、教学过程 第一学程: Task1:New words learning,and match the new words with the Chinese meaning. 学法指导 Step1:Let students try to read the new words in groups.Then remember the new words by themselves. Step2:Let students read after the teachers,and the teacher explain some key points that students couldn’t understand by themselves. Step3:Check new words.Match the new words with the Chinese meaning.Call some good students to help someone in trouble. 设计意图 Let students know and learn the new words by show some pictures and real scene.Students can learn the new words easily. 第二学程: Task 2:Read and answer the questions.(Let’s Do It 1,p89 in the textbook.) 1.What does Danny call his invention 2. How does Danny's invention work 3. Why are donuts the best food to make the rockets go 4.How far will you go if you have five donuts Task 3:Read the text and call some students to translate it. 学法指导 Step1:lead students to read and translate these four questions in task 2. Step2:Let students Read the lesson and answer the questions by themselves,if they have problems,they can ask the leaders for help. Step3:Check the answers and let students find out the sentences that include the information in the text,and the teacher explain the key sentences in time. Step4:Let students finish task 3 by themselves,and then read and translate the text before the class.Help the students that are in trouble. 设计意图 Let students understand the text by this learning procedure,and develop students’ reading skills.And the teacher points out some key sentences and expressions in time. 第三学程: Task 4:Practice in class (一)Let’s Do It 2/3,p89in the textbook.) (二)Try to write down the English phrases according to the Chinese meanings. 学法指导 Step1:Let students finish task 4/5 by themselves,and then check the answers before the class. Step2:Check the answers and the teacher help the students that are in trouble.The teacher explain the key points in time. 设计意图 Have a test for the leaning goals about this class.Evaluate the students in time.
