教学重点：Learn the method of constructing knowledge trees through self-study & cooperative exploration.
教学难点：Determine whether certain situations are suitable for expressing future plans in the present continuous tense.

教学过程：
一、Pre-class
1. Greeting
2. Leading-in
Teacher activity: Guide students to observe the three sentences in Activity 1 and discover the use of the present continuous tense to indicate the future.
Student activity: Students reflect on the questions raised by the teacher and discuss with peers. Summarize the present continuous tense to indicate future usage.
二、While- class
1. 教师活动：引导学生学习现在进行时表示将来的用法。
语法知识图解：
（一）、will/shall do 表将来
will/shall do 表示单纯的将来时，是对未来发生事情的一种“预见性”。will用于各种人称，而shall仅用于第一人称。
（二）、be going to do 表将来
人作主语时，表示打算做某事
物作主语时，表示有迹象表明要发生某事
（三）、be to do表将来
表示按计划中约定的或按职责、义务、要求即将发生的动作，也可表示注定要发生某事。
（四）、be about to do 表将来
表示“就要做，正要做”，不与表示将来的时间状语连用，可与when连用构成be about to do...when...句式，意为“正要做······，这时······。”
（五）、现在进行时表将来
位移动词的进行时表将来
现在进行时表将来主要表示按计划或安排将要发生的事。此时所使用的动词多是表示位置移动的动词（词组），如come, go off, leave, arrive, fly, start, travel, walk, ride, drive, take off等。
2. 非延续性动词的进行时表将来
一般来说，非延续性动词由于动作的不可延续性一般不用于现在进行时。当它们用于现在进行时时则表示将来。
六、一般现在时表将来
1.按计划或时刻表将要发生的动作。仅限于go, come, leave, return, start, begin, end, open, close等动词。
2.用于条件或时间状语中，此时主句用将来时。
学生活动：理解现在进行时表示将来的用法，学会举例说明。学生通过句子特点了解现在进行时表示将来的用法。
Betty is leaving for Guangzhou by plane tomorrow.
Bob is going to the airport by taxi next week.
I'm seeing the dentist this afternoon.
Are they staying here for long
