By the end of this class, we will be able to:
1. consolidate(巩固) the use of probably, may or might to express possibility;
2. give sdvice on the best time to visit China;
3. find out what the weather is like around the world.

情态动词
1、含义：表示说话人对有关行为或事物的态度和看法。
2、结构：情态动词+动词原形
3、表示推测的情态动词有must，can，could，may，might等，且语气由左向右依次减弱。
（1）must“一定会”，可能性最大，用于肯定句。
e.g. He must be working in the office now. 他现在肯定在办公室工作。
Grammar
（2）can和could“可能”，可能性适中，can—般不用于肯定句。
e.g. He could be at home now. 他现在可能在家。
（3）may和might“或许，可能”，may一般用于疑问句，可能性较小。
e.g. You may meet her at the party. 你可能会在聚会上遇到她。
（4）用于否定句：can't, couldn't “不可能”，may/might not “可能不”
e.g. He can't be at home now. 他现在不可能在家。
My sister might not be at home. 我姐姐可能不在家。
注意：could，might并不一定是can，may的过去式，有时只是语气分别比can，may更弱。
4、表示“可能”的形容词：possible “可能的”; 表示推测的副词：probably，possibly “大概，可能”。
用法：
“做某事的是可能的”
“......是可能的”
“......很可能......”
e.g. It is possible that it will rain at night.夜里可能会下雨。
Lingling will probably/possibly come to my party.玲玲可能会来参加我的聚会。

Dear Miss Chen,
I’m very happy to know you are coming to Australia. The weather here is nice all year round.
In spring, it is quite warm and everything begins to grow. I think it’s a good idea to take a camera if you come in spring, because you may want to take some photos. The weather in autumn is warm and sunny too. Bring your sunglasses and you can take a walk along the beach and enjoy the sun. Someone says it never snows in Australia because even in winter, the temperature is around 13℃. But it isn’t always right. In several areas in Australia, there might be a snow and people can enjoy skiing there. Don’t forget to bring an umbrella with you, it will probably rain a lot. In my opinion, the best time to visit Australia is in summer. The temperature is about 29℃, and there is little rain and it’s not too hot. Just take your swimsuit, enjoy swimming in the sea. Or you can also have a good time with the sheep in the fields or on the hills.
