教学内 容分析 Where is the library 是湘鲁版小学英语五年级上册第二单元第一课时的内容。这是一篇关于如何正确的使用英语问路和引路的课文，要求学生能听懂会说building, toilet, building, second floor, turn right, turn left, go straight.利用Where is the... Can you show me the way 进行问路。旨在帮助学生了解英语国家的文化和掌握如何用英语问路、引路。培养学生的跨文化交际意识,促进思维的发展，激发学生学习英语的兴趣。帮助学生形成乐于助人的优良品质。
学生分析 经过两年的学习，五年级的学生已经具备一定的英语知识基础，对于很多学过的单词不需要太过于强调，重点在于传授新单词和新句型。小学生的注意力不稳定容易被外界事物所吸引，一般注意力集中在课堂的前15分钟，基于这一现象，教师最好把要传授的新知识和句型在课堂前15分钟左右讲完。之后采取一系列的课堂活动充分调动学生的学习积极性帮助学生巩固所学知识，完成教学目标。

Ability aims Developing Students' practical language use ability so that Students can use new words and new phrases flexibly according to different situation. Guide students to know how to show somebody the way in English. To cultivate students’ ability of thinking and expressing . Value aims: Students know the significance of helping people who are willing to help others. Making students interested in English and want to continue learning English.

教学过程 Step 1 Warming- up Greeting T: Hello, boys and girls. Are you happy today Students: I am happy. T:I am happy ,too. Step 2 Lead-in Watch a video: chants T: Let’s listen to a chant. Create a situation Create a situation that I want to read books in the library to lead in and show a picture to let students speak out the sentence: Where is the library T: Okay, I want to read books in the library, who can tell me Where is the library (Teacher gives a picture. Students can answer this question according to it) Peter:图书馆在二楼。 T: Yes, very good, the library is on the second floor.so today we will learn Unit 2 Where is the library (write the title) Step 3 Presentation Divide all students into two groups Today we have a friend Li Wei who lost his way. And you should help him to find the way to his home. I divide you into two groups, girls are group1 and boys are group2 .If you answer correctly, the one people of group will has a chance to choose the direction you want to go .Who is closer or fastest to his home, who is the winner. Lead in the new words building/toilet/second floor/turn right/turn left. T: What is this (by showing PPT to help students understand them directly.) Jack: It is a... T:Yes, read after me, building.(teach three times and write the word on blackboard) Other words are as above. T: Look the screen, where is the toilet Students: Go straight and then turn left. T: Perfect, let’s learn some phrases together. The first word is” go straight”, please read after me. (Teach two times, then ask a student to read it and teach them. Paste direction cards on the blackboard) Students: Go straight. Teaching sentence patterns --Where is the park --Go straight and then turn left. Step 4 Practice Let students play the game: Golden finger Let’s dance according to Penguin’s Game The teacher leads the corresponding movements according to the music. Let the students to play the game: look for your friend A boy goes to the platform and puts on an eyepatch. The teacher assign the friend he needs to find. Girls ask” where is XXX ” three times before the game starts. Then the game begins. Boys use the phrases they have learned to guide him to find his friend. The team with the shortest time wins.(exchange) Step 5 Production Play the chess pieces Boys VS Girls. A representative of each team will roll the dice at the starting point. No matter what number is thrown, all members of the team must read the contents of the grid out loud twice Go forward. Otherwise, stop jumping once. If you meet "toilet", you can go straight for three squares. The last number of points to the end point. If you exceed it, you will reach it without going back. The first person to reach the building picture is the winner. Change the representative after one game, and play another round. Step 6 Conclusion & Homework Conclusion Students make a summary for us ,teachers give some supplements. T:Boys and girls ,today we have learned how to ask the way,please read the words on the blackboard together. 2.Sublimation If we are willing to help others, we will get more in the future. 3.Homework We will have a new friend John who comes from UK. He is not familiar with our school .There is a map about our school. I’d like you to become a guide and leading John to find the library.

教学反思 在教学过程中，我以学生为主体采取直观教学法；多媒体辅助法等多种教学方法，通过小组竞争和角色扮演的方式提高学生的积极性帮助学生掌握新单词和新句型。使学生懂得如何问路和指路，从而完成教学目标。 但是由于我的教学经验不足仍存在许多需要改善的地方，如语速较快、语调较平，课堂各活动之间衔接不够自然，声音感染力不够。这些问题该我会在以后的教学生涯中不断改善。
