1. Walk past the house, turn left and walk along
the path next to the river.
走过这座房子，向左转，沿着河边的小路走。
1)这里past是介词，意思是“经过”（一边，一侧）。
walk past=pass
e.g. 走过警察局，你就能看到医院。
Walk past the police office, and you will see
the hospital.
2)这里next to the river修饰path, 做后置定语。
e.g. 我想住在河旁边的那个房子里。
I want to live in the house next to the river.
