三、重点知识
1.never开头的否定祈使句
否定祈使句常以don’t开头，有时为了加强语气，可用never代替don’t,意为“千万不要..., 一定不要...”
Never _______(fail) to eat breakfast. 一定不要忘记吃早饭。
never fail to do sth. 从来不会忘记做某事 从来不会忘记做某事
fail to do sth. 未能做某事
e.g. My son never fails __________(phone) me on my birthday.
He failed ________(get) into art college.
be thankful to sb. 对某人心存感激
be thankful to sb. for doing sth. 因做某事而对某人心存感激
be thankful for sth. 感谢某事
e.g. From my father I have learned a lot. And I’m very thankful _____ him.

I am thankful _____ your encouraging words.
along with... 连同，除...以外还；和...一起
e.g. Along with wheat, rice is one of the most important food crops in the world.
除了小麦，水稻也是世界上最重要的粮食作物之一。
A+along with B，作主语时，谓语动词由A决定（就远原则）
e.g. She along with her friends ______(be) going to the Great Wall next Friday.
就远原则：with, together with, except, besides, as well as, rather than, but...
e.g. They with a lovely girl _______(be) singing in the park.
set out 出发，启程=set off set out/off for+地点名词 动身去某地
着手，开始 set out to do sth. 开始/着手做某事
set out on sth. 开始做某事（尤指新的、困难的或重要的事）
separate v.分开，分离 n.分离；分开______________
separate from... 分离，分散 separate A from B 把A和B分开
对比：divide...into....把..分成... be divided into... 被分成...
e.g. The branch(树枝) has separated _______ the trunk(树干) of the tree.
