Normally, we are taught that the process is more important than the result. If you fail in tests, competitions, or games, people will comfort you, telling you that you have tried your best and you should be satisfied with that. But should it be so
In general, this might be right: Paying more attention to the process can make us feel more confident, and after this experience, we can challenge ourselves to become better.
In my case, the result is as important as the process. Everyone wants to come out on top when taking part in competitions, but there will always be people who work hard and still don’t get a good result. It can be painful for them to cheer for their efforts after they fail.
But failure can make us want to keep going on. If we are worried about the results, it means that we still have the wish of self-improvement.
What’s more, it is important to learn from failure. “You have done your best” can be quite misleading if it is not a fact. It is saying that there must be something wrong in our process. And the valuable experience comes from realizing the mistake and correcting it. We will learn a lot no matter we win or lose. Whether we can succeed depends on our attitude(态度).
In a word, the process and the result are both important. Learn from both of them, and they can help us become better.
What’s the main purpose of Paragraph 1
A. To introduce a topic. B.To ask a question. C. To give a suggestion. 25.What’s the writer’s opinion about the process and the result
We can learn more from the process.
The result is as important as the process.
We should pay more attention to the result. 26.Why are we worried about the results
Because we need to get the prize.
Because we are afraid of facing failure.
Because we want to improve ourselves. 27.What can we learn from Paragraph 5
Pride goes before a fall.
Practice makes perfect.
The attitude decides success and failure.
C
Students sit at their desks wearing goggles( 护 目 镜 ),traveling through a big forest. Others wear headbands(头带), using the power of the mind to make cars speed around a road.
Such a scene may remind us of science fiction. But scenes like these could someday be common in future classrooms. Thanks to modern technologies, experts say it won’t be long before super high-tech becomes the new normal in schools worldwide.
One high-tech invention expected to become standard in the future is virtual reality(VR虚拟现实). VR’s 3D technology allows students to study natural wonders and historic stories, and helps students learn new landmarks(遗址) and other fascinating places on the virtual field trip. Students can visit these places without walking out of the classroom. And not even outer space or the bottom of the ocean is out of reach.
In addition to virtual reality, robots are also expected to become common classroom tools, acting as classmates and teachers. Some robots are already bringing high-tech teaching methods to schools, attracting students with their game-based ways that make learning feel like playing. For example, Robin, a robot that looks like a person, uses entertaining games to teach foreign languages. It makes learning quite interesting.
As technology continues to shape the future in many ways, experts say developing the technology will certainly shape future classrooms as well. Whether they’re removing difficulties in learning, or turning learning into fun and games, advanced(先进的) technologies are no doubt game changes for education and learning.
How does the writer start the passage
A. By asking a question. B. By describing a scene. C.By comparing opinions. 29.What can VR help students do
Learn something in a group.
Removing difficulties from the learning process.
Know real scenes without leaving the classroom.
