教材分析 本课教学内容选自高等教育出版社出版的“十四五”职业教育国家规划教材，《英语3基础模块》中Unit8 Role Models of the Times的Warming up和Listening and Speaking部分，单元主题是“人与社会”主题范围下关于“时代楷模和大国工匠”的话题，听说部分要求学生能识别与时代楷模相关的信息，与他人表达对楷模人物的看法和态度，并能简单介绍自己榜样的信息。
学情分析 知识基础 学生比较熟悉简单的职业名称和谈论职业的基本句式。学生能够通过图片与情境猜测词义，具有一定的词汇辨析能力。学生对时代楷模和大国工匠的话题很有兴趣，有强烈的学习愿望。但是学生听力水平普遍较低，在捕捉细节信息时容易出错，他们对怎样谈论楷模的相关信息，词汇和句型积累不够。 认知能力 学生对于时代楷模有一定了解，但是对介绍楷模时要用具体的事例说明他们成为楷模的原因，并加上自己的观点，缺乏相应的语言储备和迁移能力。 学习特点 学生学习态度端正，思维活跃，喜欢在“真实的情景中”进行语言学习。 因此教师对教学活动应进行合理的设计，由易到难，由简到繁，由机械模仿到替换练习，再到语言实践，逐步铺设台阶，把学生可能遇到的困难挫折降到最低。

Step 1: Lead in 1. What do you want to be when you grow up Ask students what they what to be when they grow up and teach the words related to jobs: scientist, doctor, volleyball player, police officer, firefighter. 2.Brief introduction of role models. Introduce five role models(袁隆平，郎平，钱学森，任长霞，杨科璋) from four aspects:(1)Who is he/she (2)What does he/she do (3)What did he/she achieve (4)How does he/she influence people Answer the question and learn different words about jobs. Learn more about the five role models. 引出主题，为warming up部分做到文化铺垫，让学生对模范榜样人物有初步了解。
Step 2: Warming up Look and match. Let students read the four sentences and match with the right pictures.Then conclude the sentence patterns of different jobs. Firefighter: save people from a fire. Volleyball player/Coach: lead Chinese women’s volleyball team to win world championship. Scientist: made contributions to China’s missile and space program. Police officer: devote one’s life to the cause of people’s safety. Look and tick. Learn some sentences that are useful when introducing the role models. Try to introduce your role model. Lead students to introduce their role models by using the sentence pattern： A: Can you say something about... B:She/He is a respectable... A:Why do you admire him/her B:Because he/she made great contributions to...(Because he/she devoted his/her life to...) Language points Present the important language points: lead sb.to do sth带领某人做某事 make contributions to...给...做贡献 devote one’s life to (doing) sth.投入毕生的心血(做)某事 Match the sentences with the right jobs and learn about the job responsibility of different jobs. Tick the sentences that can introduce role models. Practice with partners by using the given sentence patterns. 本环节旨在激活学生关于介绍时代楷模人物的常见词汇储备，建立介绍人物的思维路径，结合课前搜集的信息，在有句型提示的情况下，熟悉相关表达，为下一环节的听力活动做语言储备。
Step 3: Listening Pre-listening Listen and tick. Let students predict the content and choose the answer to the question: What’s the topic of the dialogue While-listening Listen and fill. Firstly, lead students to identify the content of the chart and make clear what information they should fill in. And remind students to specially pay attention to the questions: What is Zhang Yu’s dream What is Liu Wei’s dream Listen and complete. Firstly, let students go through the short passage and predict the answers by paying attention to the words before and after the blanks such as different_____, look after to_______, is______about, a______basketball player, a______like him. Post-listening Show students the listening script and check the answers. Then ask students to imitate the pronunciation and intonation of the script and read after it. Summarize the language points. (1)be crazy about对...疯狂 (2)look up to 尊敬 (3)can’t agree more 非常赞同 Tick out the answer to the question: What is the topic of the dialogue Listen to the dialogue for three times and finish the tasks of the listening activity. Imitate the pronunciation and intonation and read after the script.And take notes of the language points. 本环节旨在训练学生根据已有的信息预测听力内容，在听的过程中获取和归纳关键信息，侧重培养学生语言沟通能力和语言交互能力。
Step 4: Dialogue learning Listen, read and underline. Briefly introduce Li Na T: Do you know Li Na /What does she do Please listen to the dialogue and underline sentences expressing admiration of one’s role models. 2.Introduction of role models. Introduce five role models appeared in the dialogue: Li Na(李娜)：A famous Women’s Tennis player who is the winner of Asian first Grand Slam Women Single Champion. (亚洲第一位大满贯女子单打冠军得主) Ma Long(马龙)：A famous Ping Pong ball player who is a world champion. Zhang Yining(张怡宁)：A world champion of Women’s Table Tennis. Yu Min(于敏): A famous nuclear physicist(核物理学家)，who is awarded the medal of “Two Bombs and One Satellite”(“两弹一星”功勋奖章) and is called “The Father of Hydrogen Bomb” in China(中国的“氢弹之父”) Tu Youyou（屠呦呦）:She is a famous pharmacist(药学家)and discovered artemisinin(青蒿素) and is the first Chinese scientist who has won the Nobel Prize in Medicine(诺贝尔医学奖). Hui Ruoqi(惠若琪): She is a member of Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team who has won the champion with her teammates in the 2015 Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship(2015亚洲女子锦标赛). 3.Important points analysis. Firstly, let students watch the video of the dialogue and answer some simple questions:(1)What are they talking about (2)Who is Wang Lei’s role model (3)Why does Wang Lei admire him/her (4)Who is Li Hua’s role model (5)Why does Li Hua admire him/her Then, analyze the language points: Be crazy about 对...痴迷/ like 做介词“像”/look up to尊敬；仰慕/look down on瞧不起/contribute to为...做贡献/helping作伴随状语。 Finally, present some exercise. Five multiple choices. Listen and underline sentences expressing admiration of a role model. Learn more about the five role models. Step 5: Speaking Imitate and Talk. Firstly, play a video of Nan Rendong and Guo Juying and introduce them from the four aspects: Who is he/she What does he/she do What does he/she achieve How does he/she influence us Then, practice with partners using these sentence pattern: A: Do you have a role model B: Of course. My role model is ... Many of our classmates... A: These are also the kind of people I respect. B: I can’t agree more. My role model ... is ... He / She... A: What a respectable ... he / she is! B: Yeah, I’d like to be... 2.Role Play. Introduce the situation and let students make up a new dialogue and practice speaking from these aspects: Who they are;/What they do; What they’ve achieved;/How they influence people;/Give some examples. Make use of the key words listed and make up a dialogue. Get familiar with the background and practice with partners. 本环节的口语交际活动首先基于语料进行模仿练习，侧重培养学生的学习迁移能力；在此基础上拓展练习综合性的口语表达活动，通过外国记者和中职学生的角色扮演培养学生的思维差异感知能力和跨文化理解能力。语篇内的素材以润物细无声的方式激励学生奋进，可以从成功的定义、榜样的力量等角度展开课堂思政教学。
