人物传记是记叙文体的一种，主要是写名人或伟人的生平及事迹。在文章篇幅安排上要对被描述对象的生平进行简要描述，主要篇幅要叙述其事迹或在某个领域作出的特殊贡献，最后简要地对该人物进行评价。

One possible version:
Known as a famous medical scientist in the Ming Dynasty, Li Shizhen was born in 1518.He wrote a book called Compendium of Materia Medica, which is a collection of Chinese herbs including over 2,000 Chinese herbs with millions of characters. In order to finish the book, he visited mountains, called on ordinary people, tasted different kinds of herbs and even did experiments by himself. It took him 27 years to finish the book, and his book is considered to be a great contribution to the development of Chinese medicine.
