Ten years ago I used to be very fit (健康的). I rode a bike to work and I got a lot of exercise at weekends. I used to play tennis a lot and go for long walks. In those days I didn’t earn very much. I had a job in an office. It wasn’t a very good job but I had a lot of time to do the things I enjoyed doing.
Then, about eight years ago, I got a much better job. The pay was better, but the hours were a lot longer. I bought a car and drove to work every day. I began to take people out to lunch. And I began to put on weight, too. I stopped playing tennis and going for long walks at weekends because I just didn’t have any time for things like that any more.
There’s a lot of stress (压力) in my job. Perhaps that’s why I started drinking more than I used to. For example, I used to have only half a glass of whisky when I got home, but then I started filling my glass to the top, and instead of having one glass, I would have several. I started smoking a lot, too. I never used to smoke at all.
Two months ago I had a heart attack. At first I just couldn’t believe it. Luckily it wasn’t very serious. The doctor advised me to stop smoking and to eat less. He also advised me to work less and get more exercise. But I just haven’t any time! My job takes everything out of me!
Sometimes I wonder if I should get another job. Perhaps I could do something like I used to do. But if I do that, I won’t earn as much. I have a family to support. I have to think of them, I too. I just don’t know what I should do. What do you think

Sometimes, tsunamis are caused when earthquakes take place underwater. Then, water begins to move up and down from the top of the ocean right down to the bottom. Waves begin to form, and each wave is called a tsunami.
A tsunami is less than one meter high and can move at a speed of almost 800 kilometers per hour while it is far out in the ocean. But the tsunami rises much higher and moves more slowly as it comes closer to land.

“Red tourism”, a new form of tourism in which people visit locations and memorials (纪念碑) of historical significance to the Communist Party of China, has given a much-needed shot in the arm of the domestic (国内的) tourism industry in summer. And red tourism will be more popular during the National Day Golden Week holiday.
Ticket bookings for red tourism sites in June increased by five times with local and short trips to red tourism sites being the choice of about 88 percent of such tourists. And the search for the term “red tourism” on Mafengwo, a Chinese travel service and social-networking platform, increased by 300 percent during the summer holidays.
Red tourism is not only about the joy of visiting a new place and taking in the wonderful sights. It is also about gaining knowledge about history and being inspired by the stories of the people who gave their lives to the founding of the People’s Republic in 1949 and worked for the wellbeing of the Chinese people. By rediscovering history and passing on the stories of the Chinese revolution and its heroes to the next generations, people can uplift their spirit.
Red tourism can also be used as an opportunity to develop rural (农村的) areas because most of the revolutionary bases and red tourism sites are in the countryside. It can raise the incomes of local people, Since red tourism creates jobs and helps increase farmers’ incomes, it can develop local development.
Data show that in the first half of 2022, more than 30 percent of all tourists visited red tourism sites in rural areas, which was 10 percent more than the last year. Yet red tourism faces certain developmental problems, mainly because some local government officials have failed to make the best use of red tourism resources for local development.

A. More and more people will choose red tourism.
B. Many travel companies will benefit from red tourism.

How to Be Creative
Most of us think that creativity (创造力) is a quality (品质) belonging only to artists, writers, or dancers, rather than ourselves. 16 The following tips are a great beginning for developing our creativity.
Get out of your comfort zone
We eagerly accept the familiar and fear the unknown. Break out of your usual patterns and welcome creativity into your life. As said earlier, the human brain was designed to recognize patterns (模式). 17 In fact, our comfort zone is nothing more than a collection of patterns. As we become more efficient at recognizing and using patterns, we rely less on creativity to find new paths. We should force ourselves out of our comfort zones and open up new possibilities.
Try different things
If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got. We are creatures of habits and routines, and creativity hates routines (常规). If you usually drive to work, take the subway for a few days. 18 Break your routine, experiment and try something new. New things are often creative, but the same old thing never is.
19
Having a great idea is not enough, you must work to make it a reality. Have you ever seen a new product and realized that you thought of the same thing long ago Yet someone else is making money with “your” idea. 20 The difference between a dreamer and a doer is action. Do whatever it takes to bring your ideas to life. If you can put them into practice, you are well on your way to improving your creativity in all areas of your life.
A. Take action
B. Seek several options
C. Think from the other person’s point of view.
D. If you normally (通常地) eat in the office, have lunch under a tree.
E. We continue to create patterns for almost everything we do.
F. The truth is that we are all born with the ability to be creative.
G. We all have great ideas sometimes, but only a few people turn their ideas into realities (现实).
