The grain foods are at the 1st level of the
food pyramid. It means we should eat lots
of whole grains every day. Because it has
the best source of energy.
The 2nd level is the vegetables and fruit
group. Vegetables and fruit are rich in
vitamins(维他命). Eat more different
kinds of vegetables and fruit every day!
The 3rd level is the meat and dairy group. Meat and dairy are rich in protein. We use protein to build our bodies.
The fat, sugar and salt group is on the top of the food pyramid. It means we should eat the least (最少).
