Step1: Warming up

Purpose: Let students review language projects they have learned before. Prepare for learning new language projects.
Step2: Presentation
Watch video: “Is this your …”
Purpose: Enable students to experience new language projects by watching a video.
Then show a schoolbag with many school things in it.
Revise: What’s this/that in English？

Lead in new sentence patterns

Yes, it is. It’s mine. / No, it isn’t. It’s hers.

Next, every student is asked to say a sentence like these.
Purpose: Encourage students to actively participate，increase the desire for beginners to express themselves in English
Step 3：Practice
Divide the students into several groups，practice the sentences
Purpose：Help students familiarize themselves with
Vocabulary and sentence structures.
Step 4: Section A 1a
Let the students look at the picture first and ask what they can say in the picture and match the words with the things in the picture.
Then make them show the things they have as quickly as possible. Have a competition between boys and girls.
Purpose: activities can effectively train students’ attention and immediate memory.
Step5: 1b
Listen and number the conversations.
Read the conversations in pairs，then listen and do 1b.
Purpose：train listening skills and develop a sense of English language.
Step6: Pair work
Practice the conversations in 1b, then make their own conversations.
Purpose: try to communicate in English，experience the joy brought by cooperation.
Step7: Group task：A game
Find the owners in groups.
Each students put some school things in the schoolbag.
And ask questions each other：Is this your/my/his/her …

Step 9: Homework
Read and memorize the new words they learned today.(all the students)
