I. Course Introduction
This is a vocabulary class with a design duration of 20 minutes, and the teaching materials are selected from Unit 6 of Grade 7: Do you like bananas Section A.
II. The analysis of the students
The target audience for this lesson is eighth grade students. This grade students have a certain knowledge of English. And many students have a strong interest in food learning, which is closely related to daily life. Moreover, most students have already mastered some simple words according to fruits or vegetables, which is more conducive to improving the learning efficiency of this lesson.
III. Teaching objectives
1.Language ability objectives:
Students can hear, recognize, and spell key vocabulary, master singular and plural forms, and be able to use learned sentence structures and vocabulary to make sentences.
2. Learning ability objectives:
Students can cultivate students' knowledge application and expression abilities, cultivate a spirit of cooperation and flexible and versatile abilities through group cooperation and communication.
3. Thinking qualities objectives:
Students can improve their self-learning ability through self-summarizing knowledge.
4. Cultural awareness objectives:
Students are able to master daily situational communication skills, further enhance their interest in English learning, and develop good eating habits

Step 1 warming up and lead in(2mins)
Teacher greet students.
Ask students to listen to a song “finger family” about 60s and sing together.

After listening, teacher asks 2-3 students to answer a question “who can guess the topic that I am going to teach in class？ ”
Guide students to state the theme of this lesson—— food/fruit/vegetable.
(Justification：To mobilize students to be prepared , stimulate students' interest in learning and enable them to learn in a pleasant environment)
Step 2 Presentation (8 mins)
Share a picture of party and tell the students “Suppose our class will have a party next week. But there are still some things that are not ready.Let’s prepare some food for our party!”
Guide students to guess the meaning according to pictures on P31 of the book on the screen.
Teacher teaches students how to read and spell it in English categorically based on "fruits, vegetables, and other foods".
Show them plural forms about those words on the screen and assign a task:
Try to summarize the rules of word pluralization by one’s own.
Everyone has different hobbies. Teacher asks students a question：“If I want to know what fruit a classmate likes, how should I ask them ” After listening to the collective answers from 3-4 students, the teacher began to explain.
Combining with a picture about a conversation between a boy and a girl, teach them this sentence structure and write it on the blackboard:
-Do you like bananas
-Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.
(Justification: To make knowledge more intuitive and easier to understand through images through a party context and pictures)
Step 3 Practice (4mins)
1. Gaming time finished individually within 80 seconds.
Choose fruit from the following words.
Choose uncountable words.
Choose vegetable from the following words.

2.Select the following spelling errors and correct them. (Rule: Try to finish it in a group of 4 as well within 60 seconds.) After the deadline, count which group is searching more and faster

Step 4 Production (5mins)
Ask students have a topic discussion about “the foods you like or dislike“.Students will be given 4 minutes to make sentences and choose one representative t display on multimedia booth in class.
Invite some students to share with us in class at random.
(Justification: To exercise the ability to use learned sentence structures to express and collaborate with others)
Step 5 Summary and homework (1 min)
Ask some students to make a summary.

Homework
Complete the exercises in the book and write one to two sentences based on the sentence patterns learned today.
Go online to search for more words related to fruits and vegetables and remember them in your notebook.
(Justification: To examine how much knowledge students have acquired and expand their knowledge base)
