Analysis of teaching materials This lesson mainly talks about how to use “Do you like... Yes, I do./ No, I don’t .” “Does he/she like... Yes, he/she does./ No, he/she doesn’t. ”to express likes and dislikes about the food and what you like for breakfast/lunch/dinner.
Analysis of students The students in Grade7 are very active and they want to show themselves but they can’t focus on the class for a long time. So when I design my class, I have to pay attention to making my class lively and interesting to attract their attention.
Teaching Objectives 1.Knowledge objectives: (1) Ss review some words about food and grasp two new words:breakfast, lunch. (2) Ss use the following structures to talk about what others like and don’t like: --Do you like...... --Yes, I do/ No, I don’t; --Does he/she like ...... --Yes, he/she does./No, he/she doesn’t. Ss talk about their breakfast, lunch, and dinner,and develop a good eating habit. 2.Ability Objectives: Ss can express their feeling about like or dislike To cultivate their ability of cooperating with others. 3.Emotional Objectives: (1) Eat more healthy food and keep healthy . (2) To raise their interest in learning English.
Key points To learn to express what others like and don’t like.
Difficult points .To learn to ask what food you eat in the morning/noon/evening.

Step1 Warm up and lead-in (5 mins) 1.Greet to students. 2..Play a game:pass three levels and get the discount voucher of a restaurant. 1. Greet to teacher. 2. Ss look at the first letter and say the word. Game can arouse students’ interest and they can review the food they have learnt.
Step 2 Presentation (20mins) 1.Let Ss read the words aloud in 1a, and write the number of each word next to the correct food. Then check the answers. 2. Ask Ss to classify the food. 3. Ask Ss to add more to the lists . 4. Show a picture about T’s breakfast, and instruct Ss to talk about their breakfast /lunch /dinner. Read the words together. Classify the words. Add more words to the lists. Learn about T’s breakfast, then share their breakfast/ lunch/ dinner. . 1. Use pictures to attract their attention. 2. Consolidate what they have learned and let them enjoy the happiness of learning English .
Step3 Listening (7 mins) Ask the Ss listen carefully and play the tape of textbook 1c to let them circle the food they hear in 1a. Listen again and fill in the chart in 1d. Listen the third times, and complete the conversation. Let Ss listen and repeat the conversation. 1. Pay attention to the conversations and circle the food they hear. 2. Fill in the chart in 1d. 3. Complete the conversation. 4.Listen and repeat the conversation. Train student’s listening ability.
Step4 Pair Work (8mins) Ask Ss to use the target languages to work in pairs to talk about what Sally and Tom like and don’t like. Use the target sentences and work in pairs and talk about what Sally and Tom like and don’t like. Then do the report. To train if they can use the target language to express what others like and don’t like.
Step5 Summary (2mins) Let Ss classify healthy and unhealthy food, tell them to eat more healthy food. Then lead students to summarize the knowledge. Classify the food and summarize the knowledge. Check if they can remember the new words and phrases and let them know they should eat more healthy food.
Step7 Homework (1min) Ask Ss to survey what their parents like and don’t like. Write down homework and finish it after class. Consolidate the knowledge.
