Step1: Lead-in (Review) Review the structure and body part of the speech. (Purpose: 让学生复习并巩固演讲文本的结构特点和语言特点，同时让学生对内容的组织有更深刻的认识。 ) Step 2: Pre-writing (10 minutes) Activity 1：Match the sentences with Rhetorical devices(修辞手法) Activity 2: Filling 完成句子 ①很荣幸能站在这里和大家分享关于音乐是如何对我的生活产生影响的故事。(it作形式主语) It's an honour to be here and to share with you the story of how music has had an impact on my life. ②有一段时间，我感到非常沮丧。(depress) There was a time when I felt greatly depressed． 3我去年就读一所高中寄宿学校(boarding school)，但我很不适应这样的环境。 (adapt to ) I studied in a senior high boarding school, and I couldn’t adapt to it． ④我感到太孤独了,因为没有我以前熟悉的老朋友和环境。(be familiar with) I felt too lonely because I don't have the old friends and environment I used to be familiar with. ⑤然后有一天，我偶然听到了柔软而平静，舒适而有力的古典音乐。(用定语从句造句) Then one day I heard the classical music by accident, which is soft and calming comforting and powerful . ⑥音乐不仅给了我陪伴和安慰，更给了我勇气去面对所有的困难。(not only ...but also ...)。 Music not only gave me company and comfort , but also gave me courage to face all the difficulties . Step 3: While-writing (20 minutes) Activity 1 :假如你是李华，作为交换生正在英国学习。你所在的学校要举办英语演讲比赛，主题是“How music has changed my life”。请写一篇演讲稿参赛，内容包括： 1. 与音乐有关的个人经历； 2. 音乐的影响。 Activity 2 As a model, T finishes an outline and offers a sample based the outline. At the same time T should stress the letter is a replay, so there should be a greeting at the beginning of this letter. (目的：提供写作范例，有利于之后完整的写作。) Activity 3 T requires Ss to write their own speech, and offers some suggestions if necessary. (目的：让学生把课堂所学知识运用于写作上，进行产出。) Step 4: Post-writing (6 minutes) Ss exchange their drafts and use the checklist to check each other's writing both on content and structure . Checklist: 1）. Does each sentence relate to the topic 2）. Is a specific description given in this sentence 3）. Does this sentence use rhetorical devices, such as metaphor, personification and simile. 4）. Are all words spelt correctly (目的:让学生互评，学生可以明确作文评分的要点，相互学习进步，修改文章。) T guides Ss to revise their own drafts according to partner’s suggestions. (目的：根据同桌的建议并结合测评表，学生完善修改自己的演讲文本) 4.Teacher choose several students to share their essays, give them some evaluation and conclude their strengths and weaknesses. (目的：老师点评学生的作文同时指点学生需要改善的地方。) Step 5：Homework(1 minute) Improve their own drafts to present complete compositions.
