Ask the Ss to watch the video on PPT P5, then ask them to answer the following questions. What’s the video about What animals can you see on the farm Show some pictures on PPT P7 to the Ss. cow/ duck/ horse/ lamb/ dog Old MacDonald has a farm. Old MacDonald is a farmer. The man is milking a cow. Can you ride a horse The little girl is feeding chickens. Lead in Ask the Ss the following questions. Step 3 Language points learning
1. fed chickens 喂了小鸡 feed v. 喂养；饲养 【用法详解】 fed 为feed 的过去式，后面常接表示动物的名词作宾语。 feed sth. to sb./sth. 把……喂给…… feed sb./sth. on sth. 用……喂养…… feed on 以……为食 I sometimes feed nuts to the monkey. 我有时候把坚果喂给这只猴子。 Can I feed the cat on meat 我能用肉喂这只猫吗？ Horses feed on grass. 马以草为食。 2. Step 4 Summary & Homework
Summary Ask the Ss to do the exercises on PPT P28-P30. Homework Preview the conversation in 2d. Do the exercises in students’ book. The homework can vary with the specific conditions.
Teaching Reflection This is the first period of the unit. So it is important to get the students to know what they will learn in this unit and their learning goals. The teacher should encourage students to practice using the target structure more.
