This Asteroid lies between Mars and
Jupiter.
typhoon n. 台风
typhoon 主要指西太平洋海洋上发生
的极猛烈的风暴，风力常达十级以上。
storm 指雷电交加的暴风雨，也多作引申用。
hurricane 指12级大风，有时指发生在西印度群岛的大气旋。
树木被台风刮倒了。
The trees were leveled by the typhoon.

living 可用于人或物，作定语时可前可后。
alive 指虽有死的可能，但仍活着，一般只作表语。
live 只做前置定语，用于动物和个别事物前。

boss n. 老板
boss 非正式用词，多作口语用，可指任何负责人，也可指经理、老板或工头。
leader 指国家、民族、政党、组织等的领导或领袖。
head 多指一个机构或团体等的负责人或最高首长。
chief 最广泛用词，上可指最高统治者，下可指顶头上司，即可指任何一级的头头。

deaf adj. 聋的
有许多小孩生下来就是聋的。

stare v. 盯着看；凝视；注视
