教学过程
Step 1　Lead-in
We have learned Superlative Forms of Adjectives and Adverbs. Today we will learn how to describe a place with Superlative Forms of Adjectives and Adverbs.
Step 2　Presentation
1．教学3a。认真阅读3a中关于Greenwood Park的短文，用方框中形容词或副词的最高级形式来补全短文，完成后核对答案，然后全班朗读短文，画出短文中形容词和副词最高级的用法，讲解短文中的语法知识点。
2．教学3b。考虑一下你家乡最好的地方或东西，为什么它们是最好的，各小组进行讨论交流，根据要求填写3b的表格，完成后每个小组派代表分别说说自己的想法。
3．教学3c。根据3b填写的表格内容，然后仿照3a的形式写一篇关于你的家乡最好的地方的一篇短文，完成后上交，老师批改后，进行纠错点评。
4．教学4。各个小组讨论交流中国的城市，然后告诉全班学生你认为最好的城市是哪个，可以运用表格中的句子来编造对话。
5. 教学Self Check的任务
1）读1中的5个句子，然后用方框中单词的最高级形式来补全句子，叫几位学生到黑板上板书，完成后核对答案，全班朗读核对答案后的句子，再一次加深对形容词和副词的最高级的用法。
2）认真阅读2中信息，然后根据信息内容来改正1－5小题的错误，完成后核对答案。
Step 3　 Language Points
形容词和副词的最高级 最高级，表示“最......”的意思(三者或三者以上作比较)，形容词最高级前面一般要加定冠词 the，后面可带 in(of)短语来什么比较的范围。 形容词和副词的最高级规则变化:
1）一般在词尾加-est high — highest ，short — shortest
2）以字母 e 词尾的词，加-st late — latest ，fine —finest
3）重读闭音节词词尾只有一个辅音字母时，先双写辅音字母，再加-est
hot — hottest，big—biggest，thin — thinnest，fat — fattest
4）以“辅音字母+y”结尾的双音节词，先把“y”改为“i”，再加 –est funny — funniest，easy — easiest，early — earliest
5）多音节词 和部分双 音节词在词前加 most beautiful — most beautiful，athletic — most athletic outgoing —most outgoing
形容词和副词的比较级和最高级不规则变化:
good/well — best
bad/badly — worst
many/much — most
Little/few — least
far — farthest(最远) furthest(最深远)
