The virtual choir
Part I Analysis of the teaching material
This section focuses on "learning about experiencing music Online". This virtual choir is a new form of music performance. Members from all over the world don't need to love to come to a place. Instead, they use the new technology to model the various parts and wonderful virtual harmony group of music in the family.
Students need to understand the main meaning of each paragraph, and they need master some detailed information, can introduce Eric Whitacre through the timeline.
Part II Analysis of the students
Students have mastered some reading skills. But most of them are still in the period of junior high school. They can not read some complex sentences.
Part III Learning aims
At the end of the class, students will be able to
Learn some new words and expressions.
Figure out the main structure of the passage by first reading.
Find more details through the careful reading.
Realise the significance(意义)of the virtual choir .
Part IV key points and difficulties
1. Guide students to pay attention to reading strategies, such as prediction, self-questioning and scanning.
2. Help students sort out the main meaning of each paragraph and understand the narrative characteristics of "timeline” in illustrative style.
3. Lead students to understand the changes that have been caused by the Internet.
Part V Teaching procedure

During the pademic(全国性疫情), we must stay at home and it is impossible to sing face to face. Thus, can we sing together in another way
Lead students watch a short video about virtual choir.
