（一）星期

注意：
月份可单独使用，也可跟年、日连用。月份单词的首字母永远大写。
1. 月份前加介词in，表示“在……月”的意思。
There are twenty-eight or twenty-nine days in February. 二月有28天或者29天。
2. 月份与年连用时，其前面用介词in，表示“在……年……月”的意思。
The clothes store opened in August, 1996. 这家服装店于1996年八月开张。
3. 如果表示具体的日期，其前面用介词on。
Christmas Day is on December 25th every year. 圣诞节在每年的12月25日。
（二）old/How old
课文原句：So, how old are you, Alan
讲解：how old问年龄。
问年龄的两种方式可以互用：How old is ... = What's sb's age
--How old is your grandfather --He is 60 years old.
old adj. 意为“旧的，陈旧的”，其反义词为new新的。
The story is very old. 这个故事十分古老。
old adj. 意为“年老的，年迈的”，其反义词为young年轻的。
Everyone grows old. 每个人都会变老。
old adj. 意为“相识很久的，旧交的”。
Bob is an old friend of mine. Bob是我的一位老朋友。
常见搭配： the old days以前，旧日的时光。
【注意】与old相关的词汇：
（1）elder adj. 年纪较长的，用于兄弟姐妹之间的年龄比较，在句中只作定语，不作表语。
Did you see her elder sister yesterday 你昨天见到了她的姐姐吗？
（2）elderly adj. 年老的；渐老的（委婉用法），其后常跟名词。
（三）busy
busy 形容词，意为“忙碌的，繁忙的”。
常用词组：be busy with sth.；be busy (in) doing sth.忙于做某事，两者有时可互用；keep (sb./sth.) busy让（某人/物）保持忙碌；as busy as a bee忙得不可开交；其反义词是free有空的，空闲的； free time空闲时间。
I am busy these days. 这些天我很忙。
I'm busy with exams. 我忙于考试。
My father is busy drawing pictures. 我爸爸忙着画画。
（四）travel，trip
trip 可数名词，意为“旅游；旅行；出行”，尤指短途游玩或有目的的旅行。
相关短语：be on a trip to...在去……的旅行中；business/school/shopping trip商务/学校/购物旅行；day trip一日游；boat/bus trip乘船/巴士游；go on(for)/take a trip (to sp.) 去（某地）旅行

难点、易错点：
（一）When引导的疑问句
【注意】：
1. on指在具体某一天
例：on Monday, on July 1st
He was born on June 2nd, 2001. 他是2001年6月2日出生的。
2. 当morning, afternoon, evening前面或后面有定语限定时，就不用in而用on如：on a summer evening 在一个夏日的夜晚
on Sunday morning 在周日的早晨
on the morning of May 1st 在5月1号的早上
Jim arrived at about seven on Sunday morning. Jim是在周日早上七点左右到的。
3. 常见搭配辨析：
on time 准时 in time 及时
如：She always reaches school on time. 她经常准时到校。
You should hand in your homework in time. 你应该及时交作业。
4. 有与时间有关的特殊疑问句
（1）问日期：What’s the date today
=What date is it today 今天是几月几号？
——It’s December 7th.12月7号。
（2）问星期：What day is it today？今天星期几？
——It’s Tuesday.今天星期二。
（3）问时间：What time is it now？
——It’s twenty to six in the afternoon.
（4）问生日：When is your birthday
=What’s the date of your birthday
—— It’s on December 19th.

（二）序数词
基数词变序数词歌诀
一、二、三特殊记，其他加th就可以，
八减t， 九去e， f来把ve替。
整十变化须注意， y变为ie，再加th才满意。
若是遇到几十几， 只变个位就可以。
序数词表顺序， 前有定冠词莫忘记。
写出下列基数词的序数词。

（三）序数词和基数词用法词比较
一、序数词的用法：
1. 序数词在使用时通常要在其前面加the, 但是序数词前面有了my/your等物主代词时，则不能加the。
例：The first snow came a month earlier than usual.
It is my second time to come to Beijing.
2. 表达日期：月份+序数词=the+序数词+of+月份
例：October 1st = the first of October
3. 表示顺序、编号：名词+基数词 = the+序数词+名词
例：Lesson Three = the third lesson
4. 分数的表达：分子用基数词，写在前面，分母用序数词，写在后面。当分子超过1时，分母的序数词后要加s。
例：1/4= one/a fourth 2/9= two ninths
序数词前，有时也可用不定冠词a/an，这时不再表示在具体范围内的“第几”，而是表示在原有基础上的“又一个，另一个，再一次，”。
例：I think I must do it a second time.我想我必须再做一次（已做过一次）。
I think I must do it a third time.我想我必须再做一次。（已做过两次）
二、基数词的用法
1. 表示数量。百位数与十位数之间用and连接，十位数与个位数之间用“-”连接。
如：150可写作：one hundred and fifty；31可写作：thirty-one。
2. 表示顺序。基数词表示顺序时，放在名词之后。
如：Grade Nine九年级。注：名词和基数词的首字母都要大写，前不加冠词。
3. 表示年龄。“in +one's +整十的复数”表示“在某人几十多岁时”，
如：in one's forties 在某人四十多岁的时候。
4. 表示长度/宽度/高度/深度，可用“数量词+度量单位+long/wide/tall/deep”来表示。
如：five metres long 五米长。

（四）加's、s'和“of+名词”构成的名词所有格。
名词所有格表示所属关系，在句中作定语、表语、宾语或主语。其构成方法如下：
表示人或其他有生命的东西的名词常在词尾加 's。
如：Li Ping's father my sister's book
在以s结尾的名词（包括以s结尾的复数名词）后面，只加 '。
如：Teachers' Day the boys' game
如果复数名词不是以s结尾的，末尾也要加 's。
如：Women's Day Children's Day
有些表示时间、距离以及世界、国家、城镇等无生命的名词，也可在词尾加 's。
如：today's newspaper ten minutes' break
表示无生命东西的名词，一般可用介词of构成短语来表示所有关系。
如：the door of the room the top of this page
注意：'s还可以表示某人的家或者某个店铺，
如：my aunt's(我阿姨家)，the doctor's(诊所)等。
of也可以用于有生命的名词，
如：the name of the boy
