The Science and Technology Museum in Beijing Olympic Village is China’s most important museum for science and technology. A team of 32 students at the Eindhoven University of Technology has created an electric car that can remove CO2 from the air while it drives down the road.
The two-seater sports car was designed and built in less than a year. It is called “ZEM”. According to the team, 10 ZEM cars on the road for a year can remove as much CO2 as a tree does in that time. There are over 1 billion passenger cars around the world now. If they could be replaced by ZEM, the result would be huge.
ZEM also has several other advantages that help to make it more environment-friendly.First of all, most of the car’s parts are 3D printed to reduce waste. Besides, it was built using recycled and recyclable plastic. And it can be easily taken apart so that many of its parts can be reused. ZEM’s battery (电池) is also reusable.
Unfortunately, the Eindhoven team can’t drive ZEM on its US road trip: 3D-printed cars are not allowed on the road. The team says, “We’re not finished developing yet, and we want to take some big steps in the coming years.We warmly invite car companies to come and take a look.”

Dear teachers and students, today I’d like to share something about reading. We all know that reading is very important to everyone.
I like reading paper books and the reason is that I enjoy turning the pages, and feeling the weight of paper books in my hands.
One of the great books that I’d like to share is The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain. It tells the story of a young boy growing up in a small town along the Mississippi River. I like it because it tells how young people grow, how people love each other and how bad people pay for their actions.
